Home Instead

Home Instead was an invaluable resource for my family while caring for my elderly mother in her home. They provided such wonderful care, made meals, did light house cleaning but most of all cared for my mom’s need whether she wanted company or by making her comfortable to rest with her oxygen and her kindle. A very special provider , c.a. gave not only her time but her heart and my mother so looked forward to her coming to house and sharing chats, watching favorite tv shows and always letting me know if my mom was not feeling well or she had a concern. The client director checked in with me on a regular basis to know how things were going and if I needed anything to help in regards to the best care for my mom.She also provided me with other resources outside of Home Instead to assist me with my mother’s care. I will always be grateful to Home Instead and all of their staff members and I most highly recommend them ! ❤️

We brought my Dad home on hospice and needed support for my Mom to care for him. The team arranged 24/7 aides with only 36 hours notice. The care coordinator went above and beyond to get that in place. All of the aides were professional, helpful, and were great at interacting with my Mom. My Dad passed more quickly than expected but having Home Instead folks for the short time was a huge benefit for us.

The type of place that gives senior care places a bad reputation. Someone suggested we install cameras throughout the house and I would suggest that for anyone else using this company. We used home instead to help care for my grandmother after a dementia diagnosis and right away we had issues. One women came late every day and left early every day - sometimes an hour early- and she would charge for the full time. Many times my grandmother would be up wandering around looking for someone with nobody there even though we were being charged for that time. Another woman used my grandmothers credit card to put gas in her own personal vehicle and then she also charged for the miles (make sure you always check credit card statements). Any time you bring up an issue with supervisors they seem annoyed that you have an issue. I am sure these employees do the same thing to many other families but if you don’t have cameras you would really have no idea unless you randomly stopped by every day. Kim, the general manager, could not care any less than she did. I don’t understand why someone who doesn’t care about elderly people would work in an industry like this. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

For over 8 weeks, Xiajas Green cared for my 92 year old mother. She was on time every day and was able to read my mother and know if she wanted to rest or to talk about life. Ms. Green was the person who got my mother to take showers and would bring her own dinner so they could eat together. We are a family with 8 adult children who also are still caring for my mother and Ms. Green was friendly and knew all our names. Ms. Gree, in two months became part of the family. The Home Instead Staff and Caregivers are a very professional team that provided my Mom a safe, secure and loving environment in the hours they spent together. I would highly recommend the Home Instead to anyone looking for a responsible and qualified team of caring people to serve their family members. PLW
