Visiting Angels

My experience with Visiting Angels Arlington Heights Living Assistance Services has been a positive experience. From the first meeting with Michelle Hollander, Director/Owner, to my last conversation with Michelle, the feelings have been welcoming, supportive, flexible and timely. The caregivers who assisted me through my recovery were positive in their encouragement to move forward with my independence while, at the same time, making sure I was safe. Visiting Angels takes pride in connecting the client with the appropriate caregiver(s). In the beginning of my recovery I required a lot of assistance with getting in and out of bed, washing myself, dressing, meal preparation, and being transported in a wheelchair. Currently, I am able to get in and out of bed by myself, in addition to being able to wash, dress and prepare meals and walk with a walker. My caregivers have respectfully adapted to the changes in my needs as I progressed toward independence, making sure that I made progress and did so safely. I highly recommend Visiting Angels of Arlington Heights as an excellent resource for caregiver support.

I used Visiting Angels to help care for my dad at home during his final days. Michelle and Amy were wonderful, quickly identifying caregivers who could be with my dad 24/7. It is clear they do this work because they love it. Providing help to people is not a job for those at Visiting Angels, it is a compassionate mission. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels and the special ladies they sent. Joanne was amazing and truly had a gift for making my dad feel comfortable and loved, even though she had just met him. Watching her talk to my dad taught me so much about how to interact with him in his final days. She made him smile and his eyes lit up when she spoke to him. Spring was also a great help to me providing care and support for my dad and also for me. It's would not hesitate to use Visiting Angels whenever I needed any type of extra care.

This team has been excellent. They are caring and patient as you are trying to navigate this new reality and very flexible as you are adjusting the plan for care. It is ever evolving and their responsiveness and support is unmatched. BUT - the most important detail is our caregiver - cause that is what matters most. She is perfect. We could not ask for anyone better!! Thank you for caring for our family like they are your own.

We have had an excellent experience with Visiting Angels. The coordinators are very responsive to our needs. Our caregivers are competent, dependable and kind-hearted. They have done an excellent job taking care of my parents who are in their high 90's. We highly recommend them.

The entire team at Visiting Angels in Arlington Heights has been great to work with and nothing but professional helping to provide care for my aging parent. They listen to your concerns to understand the needs of the family to ensure a positive experience. They have always been very flexible, reliable and responsive. The caregivers we have experienced are excellent! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of care for a loved one.
