Home Instead

My family has been working with Home Instead for about 6 months. Our family member has dementia. Her needs are increasing weekly. The young women that work with her are wonderful! Honestly, the office staff is amazing and the workers are kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic. I have never had a complaint.

Diane is an absolutely amazing Care Pro! She is kind, loving and very professional. We also appreciate the entire staff at the Scranton/Clark's Summit location for their courtesy and patience with our family. A special recognition goes to Jessica, the GM, for a very well organized and efficient office. They made life so much better for Mom. Thank you Home instead!

Horrible ! I worked in the field for years with seniors & this by far was the worst experience. Hired company with trusting they would not take advantage of my 90 year old parents & my mom having dementia. Company raised the hourly price with no notification. Supervisor called one afternoon & said the aid had a problem with getting my mom to bed the night before & they would review & see if it was going to continue & if so would need to be put in a different care bracket. Contract signed was for assistance with getting patient to bed before 9:00 with the dementia. Aide texted me after leaving my parents home every evening & stated she never had another issue with my mom. Next invoice for services was increased $10.00 more an hour. Other instances were also done unprofessionally. The administration is very shady

A home health care worker is harassing me and I'm disabled so I contacted her job and let them know what kind of person they hired and the manager told me what she does on her free time has nothing to do with how their job looks and I said it most certainly does because you have a healthcare worker employed with your company and you see nothing wrong with them harassing a disabled person. I'd be very worried to put my disabled or any relatives under their care considering how they don't mind their workers harassing disabled people!!! Can't imagine if that's off the job what could be happening in there to the other disabled people they "take care of". Healthcare workers are expected to uphold a high standard of care and compassion, and harassment of any kind is unacceptable. Bullying or harassing a disabled neighbor is particularly egregious, as people with disabilities may already face unique challenges and barriers. If you or someone you know is experiencing harassment or discrimination, there are resources available to help. The Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) is a great place to start, and the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) can also provide support and guidance. Remember, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and any workplace like this needs to be reported!!!

BEWARE!!!! Aides from Home Instead stole all jewelry from my Mom’s house worth around 35,000.00. We understood that this happens and tried our best to lock up but didn’t realize til it was too late!!!! Lock up all your valuables before hiring this company or put in safety deposit box!!! Some Aides were great and some were lazy mean people. I guess when you’re short staffed you take whoever you can!!
