Amada Senior Care - East Bay

I am pleased to endorse Amada with the highest regard. After my 96-year-old father had heart surgery, he made us promise that he could recover at home. Amanda met us at the hospital for the discharge and came home with us. Their caregivers were highly professional and warm and caring at the same time. My father bonded with many of them as they encouraged him to do the work that he needed to do to recover from his surgery. His caregivers were respectful of my father and the family at all times. In the weeks following his surgery, I did not have one single problem or complaint about any of his caregivers. My family was pleased that we chose Armada after they came highly recommended from a friend.

Amada senior care was highly recommended and we were very pleased and grateful to have found them . First they contacted us almost minutes after I filled out a request for services . The owner John called and told me about how they started the company years ago when needed help for his own Mother and finding it hard to find good care givers . So he and his son started Amada. We had never needed help before now but my husband suffered a heart attack in December right before the holiday . He underwent bypass surgery and was home to recover but still so very weak and unable to do the basic day to day living by himself . I had to return to work so we knew we would need someone with him on the days I left . Amada not only got the ball moving right away during a holiday week they had our house visit and out intake call and questions all finished and ready to get to work helping us . Not only do the care givers help with his needs they did light house cleaning , laundry , meals , helped with our 2 small senior dogs getting the out to go potty every few hours, but most of all we great loving companions that helped my husband . They encouraged him to do his exercises and were always standing by in case he was to weak to finish them and get him safely back into his recliner chair . They made him feel better and with all their help at home made my life a easier and I could feel confident to go to work and know he would be well taken care of . I am sure all the care givers they have are wonderful but I need to acknowledge Judith she was exceptional and went above and beyond always doing so much around the house in addition to caring for Anthony . Also Marisela she too was wonderful . We are forever grateful to have found you . I have already given your name to 2 of my clients and will continue to do so in the future . Thank you again for everything we couldn’t have navigated through this time without you.

Such an excellent company. John and his team were prompt and well prepared to help my family member asap. They left detailed care notes every day and I loved reading the care notes that were emailed to me daily. They were so helpful and kind.. I hope this review is helpful. It’s such a difficult time for our loved ones.

We have been using Amada for 10 months now. I am so glad that I signed up my parents to use their services. Because I don't live in the area anymore and it can be difficult to meet their daily needs myself. The scheduling team is very responsive and proactive about finding replacement caregivers when one of the regular ones cannot make a shift. When that does happen though, they take the time to find a good match in personality and pass along the bio of the replacement in advance. But for the majority of the time, our caregivers like Kimberly, Gloryvee, Leila, and Jowell, are very reliable. They treat my elderly parents with kindness, respect, and dignity. All of them make the extra effort to not just do the basic tasks of helping them get dressed, getting meals ready, and clean up afterwards but they will many times take on other duties; like driving them to get lab work done or helping my dad with some light yard work (which he still enjoys doing but I worry that his declining mental cognition may cause accidents - especially outside). I highly recommend that you talk with the owner John and his son, Jaden about your own caregiver needs. You will be very pleasantly surprised at how well this company is run and how much they make you feel like family too!

Amada Senior Care of East Bay truly made a very difficult time in my life so much better. John, Jaden and the team’s expertise in all aspects of long-term care immediately put me at ease. They had perfect recommendations for medical equipment, transfer tools, and general contacts in the community. Every caregiver they provide is not only well-vetted and highly trained, but also genuinely compassionate and attentive. The flexibility and personalized care they offer meant that I (and even my friends who also used their services) always received exactly the support I needed. Their kindness and professionalism turned what could have been a stressful and overwhelming experience into something manageable and comforting.
