Comfort Keepers

Comfort Keepers has great people and it’s easy to communicate with them. They are caring, attentive, and all around wonderful. Sharon is my caregiver and she helps me with everything I need. I love her personality and we fit well together. She is reliable, dependable, and a great companion. I am truly grateful for her. She is generous, helpful, and I know she cares about me a lot.

I connected with Comfort Keepers over a year ago to help care for 96 lady who wants to maintain independent living. For the most part, the staff have been wonderful and allowed F to stay in her home. They help with Dr's appt, hair appts, meals and light housekeeping. While F is rather persnickity, they always seem to find a way to connect and go above expectations. Comfort Keepers provided exemplary care to my mother during her last month of life. My mother lived in an assisted living facility far away from other family members. Although the assisted living facility was (and is) excellent, such facilities are not equipped to provide one-on-one care. This is where Comfort Keepers came into the picture. Because Comfort Keepers provided one-on-one care, first for 8, then for 12, then for 24 hours a day, my mother was able to stay in the assisted living facility, which had beome her home. I was with my mother during the last week of her life, and the Comfort Keepers staff with whom I interacted were caring, competent and very nice to family as well as to my mom. Comfort Keepers staff also interacted well with the staff of the assisted living facility, as well as hospice personnel who were involved in my mom's care. Special mention goes to Mary Moody, the Coordinator, who made sure that we had all the coverage we needed; on the rare occasions someone could not appear for a shift, Mary (who is incredibly dedicated) would cover it! I recommend Comfort Keepers wholeheartedly.

How can we possibly thank the caregivers from Comfort Keepers? From the initial call with Steve to the meeting with Mary Moody and then the other ladies who were so very attentive to our mom, the experience with them was wonderful. My brother and I both live far away, and our mother was insistent that she stay at home (in Asheville) during her ordeal with lung cancer. Comfort Keepers made that not just possible, but even enjoyable for her. She LOVED the ladies that took care of her, and Mary Moody did a terrific job of staying on top of her care and communicating with me on an almost daily basis. We never felt left "out of the loop", even in my mother's more difficult times. Comfort Keepers was ALWAYS there and totally on top of the situation. They aren't just caregivers, they are now family to us. Our mother passed away recently, and CK was with her and us not just to the end, but as we adjusted to her being gone. Mary and "the ladies" (Donna, Brenda, Shirley and Jenni) made her journey as pleasant as it possibly could have been. We are forever grateful, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My family has been using Comfort Keepers (Fletcher, NC) for over a year now to assist with caring for our 98 year old mother. She wanted to stay in her home for as long as possible and Comfort Keepers has made that possible. The peace of mind of knowing that our mother had someone there keeping her safe was a blessing.
