"The Glendora Visiting Angels office was there for my family when I needed them most in caring for my dad who is 97. I had been the primary caregiver for him for over a decade after my mother died. Dad was reluctant to bring anyone other than me or other family members to provide care. He really loved the caregivers that he immediately became friends with. His dementia was progressing more and more and he struggled to be able to walk by himself without falling. We started with 9 hours of care per week, which was mostly companion to sit with him, watching tv, taking him for walks in his wheelchair, making sure he ate proper meals. This was the respite I needed to get away for a bit. Over the next year, the caregivers from Visiting Angels supplied increased personal care for him. We added more hours per week and increase the requirements of care. Our last caregiver, Diane, became a part of our family. After he passed, she still checked in on me to let me know she was there for me if needed."
