Unfortunately, they did not give my dad a chance. He is legally blind but can see a bit and he has dementia. Two caregivers came two times. They both basically said my dad was too difficult even though to our face they acted like everything was fine and wonderful. They did not try to get to know him or find ways to work with his disabilities. So they dropped him for care and left my mom distraught. She cares for him 24/7. We know the challenges, and they are not more than the average person can handle. I think it is a matter of only wanting easy jobs. 🤷 I am glad others had a good experience, but just sharing ours. I don't know how to reply to the response from Comfort Keepers, but I can call tomorrow and discuss the outcome, but we received an email that the VA will be notified of terminated services. So it is pretty much a done deal. I have a different last name as my parents but don't feel I have the right to share their info on the internet.

I can’t recommend Comfort Keepers enough. My family and I were struggling so badly to find caregivers with the right temperament for my mother with late stage dementia. The intake was lovely, they paired us with a caregiver that really works for our family.
