I am extremely disappointed in the complete lack of care and responsibility shown by this company. They knowingly sent one of their employees into a client’s home that was infested with bed bugs — and failed to disclose this information beforehand. This is absolutely unacceptable. No employee should ever be put in that kind of situation without warning or protection. The company’s disregard for the health, safety, and peace of mind of their staff is appalling. It shows a serious lack of integrity and concern for their team. If this is how they treat their own employees, I can only imagine how little they value honesty and transparency with clients. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company until they take accountability and put proper safety and communication policies in place.
This company has been a life saver! They help with dad’s care and allows me more quality time with him so I am not overwhelmed!
Horrible communication and did not follow through with the services that were promised to us. My elderly parents felt very insecure because of the lack of communication and the shifting attendants. My father has dementia and the constant rotation of new faces that they sent to assist my parents confused him greatly. There is no structure and stability and you should expect to not have the same individual attend to your family members - meaning, if your family member, much like ours, is dealing with the difficulties of dementia…it would not be a great fit. On top of the issues stated above, services were done to him that were evidently against their policies and procedures. I explained over the phone, to the surprise of the supervisor, that their employee provided a service that they were not allowed to provide. I filed a complaint to their office and was promised a phone call from the owner of their business. Instead, I received no phone call and was billed for services that were not completed. When I canceled their services, I canceled for the well-being of my parents who were very uncomfortable with their staff.
Senior Helpers of Lake Norman has helpful, friendly and caring staff! Their Senior GEMS program is so important in caring for folks with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. But they offer support and care for all seniors, either dealing with normal aging issues or forms of dementia. They find out what makes each person unique and work their care around that.
Superior customer service and compassion are what comes to mind when I think about working with Janelle and Lisa at Senior Helpers of Mooresville. They're quick to follow up, and take the necessary time to listen so that they can develop the best plan of care for their clients.
