Home Instead

My elderly parents used Home Instead for over 1.5 years. Natasha met with all of us for the first meeting and thoroughly explained the types of things they would receive from caregivers. She also explained the costs. Over the course of time we had a stellar staff of Nancy, Ann, Marlou and Jennifer who cared for my parents. Julia, the substitute, was also great. They all went above and beyond to take care of the housework and meals, drive them to appointments, and especially give companionship to them. In the later course of dad’s illness they even helped with some non-medical procedures. Communication was no problem via phone calls or emails and the portal to view daily summaries was valuable. I’ve already recommended Home Instead to friends and church members and would gladly share my experience with anyone. My family thanks Home Instead for helping us to keep my parents in their home as long as we could.

My parents are receiving around the clock care from Home Instead - Papillion. Tim Connelly and his admin team have done an amazing job of putting together an excellent team to care for them. They love their caregivers and it gives our family great comfort knowing that they are receiving such a high level of care. This was out 1st time with Home Instead and they were amazing!! My mom and I were traveling to celebrate her brothers 80th and my dad needed support due to his dementia. They worked so closely with my mom and I to ensure he had the right care approach!! The updates on the portal were wonderful!! Their dedication to making my dad and mom's experience safe and relaxed gave us great peace of mind!! We had a wonderful time celebrating her very special brother!! The Papillion branch of Home Instead has been instrumental in providing personal assistance to my mother for the past several months, which has allowed her to stay in her home. They have been accessible to answer any questions we had and accommodating to our many changes. The caregivers have been prompt and professional, yet friendly and approachable. Home Instead has given me peace of mind knowing my mother was receiving quality care. I highly recommend their services!

Home Instead was so helpful when a family member with cognitive impairment was struggling to continue living independently with no spouse, children, or grandchildren nearby to help. His caregivers from Home Instead helped him with shopping, laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, and other tasks. They also provided companionship and quickly established trust with him. When we asked Home Instead for help with specific things—like setting up a pill dispenser to help him stay on schedule with his medications, and going through his mail to weed out the solicitations that were causing him a lot of stress—they jumped right in to help. They also gave him rides when his driving privileges were suspended and he could no longer go anywhere on his own. My siblings and I were comforted to know that caregivers were checking on him regularly and doing the "little things" we'd do ourselves if we lived closer—but which were very difficult to accomplish from a distance. It was reassuring for us to read the caregivers' notes on the Family Room portal to learn about what he did with his caregivers each day and how he was feeling. I don't know what we would have done without this help during the five-month period between our realization that this family member could no longer manage on his own, and his eventual move to an assisted living facility that had a long waiting list. When we sought help from Home Instead, they got him set up immediately with caregivers who started coming a day or two later. He liked all his caregivers but was especially fond of one who brought a lot of youthful energy and cheer into his house. My siblings and I were very happy with the services provided by this company and their employees. It was the next best thing to being there ourselves, and I think that's their operating philosophy.
