Comfort Keepers

The nurse from Comfort Keepers saved my father from a violent death. All of the Comfort Keepers were caring. From the beginning, Eric and Aspen were always there to answer questions. Our 3 weekly visits helped my mother immensely as she dealt with my father's dementia. Housekeeping was a burden lifted from her. The weekly nurse visit was a blessing! The last day the Comfort Keepers came, the nurse noticed a large tumor on my father's colon. At her suggestion, we immediately contacted the doctor. This led to several tests which the ER surgeon said we had 2 choices: surgery or unpleasant death. I certainly never wanted an unpleasant death for my father. While my father did not end up coming home, Comfort Keepers continued to call and ask what they could do to help. The Comfort Keepers even came to my father's funeral. They were a life saver for our family.

I needed shoulder surgery and the hospital required that I have someone stay with me for 24 hours after surgery. Since I live alone and my family is not near, I was in desperate need of finding someone to care for me. I found comfort keepers on the the internet and called to see if they provided this type of service. Mike, comfort keepers owner, was able to provide a very professional caring person. I was totally reliant on comfort keepers for the 24 hour period as I could not drive nor could I care for my shoulder. I am so thankful to Mike and the home health care person that stayed with me. I was impressed with the entire process and would highly recommend comfort keepers rapid city to anyone needing compassionate and professional health care. Thank you MIke.

We hired them to do light cleaning and they were suppose to throw away expired and old leftovers in the refrigerator. They threw away everything leaving her nothing to reheat for dinner. Then I had brought her whip cream for some strawberries the day before in an expensive collapsible container and they stole the container!!!! I have called twice about my container and no one will get back to me! Then we had a nurse doing her pills in weekly pill boxes. Both weeks had pills missing and one of the pills was the wrong dose and from 2017! She took care of the problem but she still missed pills in the next week. So I would not recommend this service!

DON’T EVEN BOTHER, I WOULD RATE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!! I attempted to have this company care for my elderly parents. In March I initially sent an email asking to be contacted, and a week later sent another email. After hearing nothing I called and explained my situation, making an appointment for an employee named Mason to go and meet my mother the following week. On the day of the appointment someone attempted to call me to confirm the appointment, I live 800 miles away. My parents are deaf and can’t communicate by phone, which I had explained to Mason. Since I was at work and unable to answer the phone call, no one showed up and left my mother at home waiting on them. I called, frustrated at the situation and was told I’d be contacted immediately. That was on April 9th. I called again yesterday and was promised Mason would call me right away. I still haven’t heard from them, so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Can you imagine how their care is if this is how they treat prospective clients???? SHAMEFUL
