Alamo Hospice

Alamo Hospice has been so helpful, supportive and caring. They touch base frequently, and prioritize communication. Their compassionate services have greatly reduced my stress! It's amazing how much it helps that I don't feel so alone in this process with my loved one!

Excellent care, compassion and genuine humanity are hallmarks of Alamo Hospice collectively and individually. In particular, Brittani, Norma and Jamie helped make my wife’s last days as comfortable and bearable as possible under the circumstances. Angels of mercy is what they were, contributing to our enduring a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother going through her end days. Would that we all were like these pros.

I recommend Alamo Hospice to anyone who is within a few years of death. They were recommended to us by our family physician and he was absolutely correct! Alamo Hospice had outstanding focus on the well-being and comfort of the patient. First and foremost, they focused on ways to monitor the patient by taking measurements so they would know if/when important factors were changing, They were very nice and friendly, always making the patient feel good about their help. They made the family of aware of free-services that could be provided to help the patient with specific needs. Finally, as the end approached, they ensured the patient was comfortable and in a calm environment.

My husband was an Alzheimer's patient and I cared for him at home throughout the 13 years of his illness. We were fortunate to have an amazing caregiver, an angel walking this earth , who helped care for him, allowing me to be able to get out, run errands and work in my gardens. When the time approached for palliative care, Alamo Hospice was highly recommended by an emergency room doctor in Boerne., who arranged a meeting with their representative who signed us up that day. The Alamo Hospice folks provided incredible care and support not only for my husband' but for me and my family, as well. Everyone -- the Administrators, Nurse, Social Worker, Chaplain and the Sweet Lady who called every Thursday morning to make sure all was going smoothly -- helped make a difficult time so much easier knowing I had such caring people backing me up.

This hospice staff is amazing! My mother has had wonderful loving care every step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who wants nothing but the best care for their loved one! Everyone from the lovely lady that bathes her to the nurses that have seen her every few days have been exceptional. My siblings and I will be forever grateful for the excellent care they have provided. They are polite, arrive on time, and make her feel loved and cared for. Medications are called in and sometimes even picked up for us. We've never wanted for anything they didn't immediately provide. I can't imagine caring for my mother without them!
