Angels Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Castro Valley, California and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

Having to pick a hospice for a loved one is such a daunting task. You want to make sure you are finding the absolute best. The moment I spoke with Megan on the phone, I knew I had found my people. She answered every question with such compassion and I didn't feel like she was rushing me at all. She was able to move mountains to help me get my Dad home within hours! Lourdes our nurse was unbelievable. She treated my Dad like he was her family. When my Dad passed Azzi the owner was the one who actually came to my home to set up transport. In those moments of chaos she was so calm and loving. She prayed with me and held me while I cried. I can't thank the Angels family enough for the support they provided for my Dad and myself.
ANGELS INDEED!!! My mother who was 91 y/o and my best friend was taken into the care of Angels Hospice of Castro Valley, CA. For the entire 3 months that she was in their care both my mother and I was completely satisfied as they went above and beyond to ensure that her pain was adequately managed and that she was made comfortable in her home. Not only did they care for her, but they also aided me in coping with her demise. I would like to especially thank the Administrator who ensured that her team that consisted of a Chaplin, Home Health Aid, Registered Nurse, Medical Director, and Social Worker didn't miss a beat in the extraordinary care of my mom and I. Thank you Angels Hospice 😇! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
