Shanti Hospice
Shanti Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Chandler, Arizona and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

I caution you to do your research before you sign your loved one up with Shanti Hospice. My dying family member was clearly struggling with symptoms related to the dying process when we signed on and the best the nurse could offer was a visit one time a week. The other unforgivable facet of this company is that the medical director does not believe in using lorazepam to manage symptoms related to anxiety or agitation. Anybody can google death and dying and clearly see that the two gold standards for managing symptoms related to end of life are morphine and lorazepam....both tried and true medications. There are much better hospice options out there.
Having referred several clients to Shanti Hospice over the past couple years. I have found them to be very responsive, and extremely professional. In addition, There has always been excellent feedback from patients and families on the services provided. I would like to extend a special thank you to Angie for always going the extra mile, and finding solutions to any challenge she is presented with. I have always been able to count in her to do what is right for the patient.
I have never dealt with such unprofessional people in my life. And I have never been bullied by a doctor before. I had to threaten to hire an attorney before they would release my mom. So I could get her a different hospice. Please Read their reviews they are not very good. And you want what is best for your parents, siblings or children. Shanti is not it.
I can't say enough good things about Shanti Hospice! The care Dr Banerjee had provided and continues to provide to my sister in a time of great crisis is simply extraordinary. The compassion, kindness and patience of Shanti Hospice and their staff is simply beyond the scope of what's expected or normal in the world of medicine. I continue to be blown away by the level of care, concern and expertise Dr. Banerjee and Shanti Hospice provide, I am beyond grateful and can highly recommend them!
Yes the one review was too written by a woman with whom Jennifer Jones was working with as well, both that woman and Jennifer Jones who represented Shanti Hospice, both tried getting into my friends sisters bank account! Jennifer Jones had a notary who was obviously very crooked in her back pocket. My friends sister had no identification so as to give her brother power of attorney over her financial affairs and Shanti Hospice (Jennifer Jones) wanted my friend to meet with a mobile Notary with whom they dealt with. When questioned by myself asking how in the world she expected to have a notary sign off for the Power of Attorney, her response was that the notary was a mobile notary and that they were specially trained in dealing with this sort of situation (situation being that the sister had no government issued ID but yet this notary would be able to notarize the papers without said I'd because they were a mobile notary!!!) Anyone with half a brain and an iota of common sense knows that the only difference between a notary and a mobile notary is that one comes to you and you go to the other!!! Requirements in all of Arizona are the same whether mobile or not! No ID, no notarized papers! Unless you are crooked. At one point we got zero answers to our questions about his sister so we had to send the law to where they put her to have them do a welfare check on Hus sister!!! Now, they are in for a rude awakening because we are getting with mediocre concerning the so called Hospice care that Shanti Hospice has supposedly been providing his sister for the past 9 months at $250 per day!!! After Medicare hears all that we have had to deal with with this joke of a Hospice and all the underhanded shady actions on their part since day one, I would be shocked if Shanti Hospice isn't brought up on Medicare fraud charges along with all involved including Daylight Assisted Living at 1345 West Atlanta in Phoenix!?! Both are going to get shut down with a quickness once the proper authorities have been presented all the facts.........Stay tuned, more to follow! Thanks for your time.
