Canon Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Gulfport, Mississippi and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

We switched from another hospice company due to not being there as agreed and lack of communication. Soon after joining Canon we were given a new CNA... we were a little nervous but Kelly has been such a blessing to our family. She is so much more than our CNA... she is a friend! She is family and we love her dearly. We have loved everything about Canon. Our nurses our amazing....Stacey and Erica! Thank you guys for everything you do for us!
On behalf of the whole Cuevas family we would like to genuinely thank Canon Hospice for everything they did and everything that they were to our late mother Joyce C Cuevas. Our hospice team went above and beyond bringing comfort, love, and care during trying times. Erica was nothing short of a blessing helping us navigate the unknown, Kealen made sure our mother was pampered & well taken care of like the special woman she has always been. Lastly we would like to thank Craig Ladner for going above and beyond and going through great lengths not only for my mother but also the rest of the family. Our mom passed one year ago today. Her final days were spent in the care of the folks at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. Everyone was so caring and respectful here, especially the nurses. They truly made this very difficult time just a little bit easier. In the year since my mom's passing, Canon has continued to reach out periodically through phone calls and mail, just to check in. Everything is always done with the perfect tone and touch. We have been very impressed. Highly recommend.
Our family will always remember the kind care my Dad received at Canon in Gulfport. It's a peaceful place and it brought us great comfort for him to be there in his final days. Pam Lott was amazing every step of the way! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff.
