Amedisys Hospice

Our family is forever grateful to Amedisys Hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion they provided during our loved one’s final journey. From the moment we were referred to them, we felt supported, informed, and truly cared for from the 24 hour hot line to the medical equipment and supplies being delivered next day to the medications being overnighted. The entire team of nurses, aides, social workers, and chaplains treated our loved one with dignity, tenderness, and respect. They were not only skilled professionals but also incredibly kind human beings who took the time to answer every question, listen to our concerns, and provide emotional comfort to both our loved one and our entire family. What stood out most was how responsive and attentive everyone was. Whether it was managing pain, ensuring comfort, or just being a calming presence, they were always just a phone call away. Their guidance made a deeply difficult time more manageable, and their presence brought us peace. Amedisys was more than just a hospice provider they were a lifeline. We could not have asked for better care, and we will always remember the difference they made in our lives. Thank you, Amedisys Hospice, from the bottom of our hearts.

I found everyone to be professional and caring. The nurse, social worker and aide were kind and took the time to ask what we needed. The needed equipment arrived the next day and medications were order and delivered promptly. This was the second time I have used them and would do so again without hesitation.

Amedisys deserves ZERO stars. What an awful experience my family has had with JUST the administration of this disgraceful organization. The nurses have been very nice, some not as knowledgeable as I'd like and albeit they would suggest something in particular, I knew better and did further research on certain matters and did the right thing, not what Amedisys nurses suggested. They are so eager for money and since the state pays the claim, they want to go from two days to right away seeing the patient each day even though the family repeatedly said NO. They still called, sometimes three times a day, a different nurse would call saying it is their protocol to see the patient. NONSENSE. THEY do as the family instructs and that is that. They are horrible and care more about money than they do the patient. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE IT IS AWFUL!

Very qualified and kind nurses, good experience with them, warm and compassionate treatment, the best thing is that they answer the phone 24/7.

I've heard a lot of stories complaining about Amedisys Hospice. I suggest more reviews should be written to help the public.
