Compassionate Care Hospice
Compassionate Care Hospice
Compassionate Care Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Joliet, Illinois and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

When I chose compassionate care I did not know what to expect. I wanted to get the best for him. I got the best with compassionate care. They were very professional yet very tender and caring. There were times I was so down and before I knew it there was the priest. I had some intense conversations with him. Thank you Father Jeff clarifying so many doubts I had about death and just for being there. Nurse Brenda was always there when I needed her or called her. The cna that took care of my husband deserves a raise She took care of him as if she was related to him speaking soothing words to him and always had him clean and smelling good. Thank you to the entire team. I would have been lost without you. If anyone needs hospice I know where to refer them to. Love you guys
Noone said it'd be easy but Mom wanted to die at home. My sister brother and I shared the burden and had set shifts so she was never alone. The hospice nurses coached us and visited as often as we needed. The CNA was there everyday to clean her and dress her and change her bedding. The priest came to pray with her and counsel her and us too. The social worker was also stopping in regularly. The morning mom passed, the Priest, RN & Social Worker sat with us for hours until all of us kids and our funeral director arrived. To our surprise the RN and Social Worker also attended the wake. I couldn't have gotten through the hardest 3 months of my life without their hugs, encouragement, help and guidance. I will miss mom forever and I will always be thankful to Compassuonate Care for those last memories.
Attentive, and responsive staff. Excellent support provided to family through moms death and after.
