Parentis Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Laguna Beach, California and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

Lorena and Parentis Pop-In Care were amazing in our time of need. When my mother suddenly needed 24 hour care, which was not provided by hospice, Lorena came to the rescue with just a few hours notice. There were other aid services I tried to reach who did not even return my call. The person they sent to care for my mother was wonderful, caring, and knowledgable regarding how to deal with a person at the end of life. Highly recommended.

Our family has been with parentis home health for several years now up until my father's passing and continued with my mom's care too. Their nurses are top notch and very helpful in communication with the doctors. Their assessments are spot on and they have been literally life savers! We really appreciate so many of their other in home services: x-rays, blood tests, physical therapy and hospice. There are physical therapists have been so helpful to alleviate many aches and pains through exercise and been so informative.
