Everystep is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Mount Pleasant, Iowa and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

EveryStep Hospice staff is beyond amazing. They were there for us, as caregivers, just as much as they were there for my Mother-In-Law. Not only did they sit with me and go over what we were needing as far as assistance but, they listened to me, understood me, and why it was so important to us that my mother in law had the best care possible for more than an hour at a time. I appreciate every decision that was made through Everystep, even if it was only unfortunately for a few days. Everyone that I called, talked to, visited with was beyond amazing. Thank you for making me feel like I wasn't failing my family.
Everyone ay EveryStep was so helpful, thoughtful and considerate of my dad. They listened to my concerns and adjusted his care accordingly. The nurses, chaplain and social worker always called me following their visits w my dad to give me updates (which were so appreciated). Following dad's passing, they called the funeral home and did all things so I could concentrate on my family. In the weeks since, someone has contacted me weekly to see how I am and how my family is ....offering their services if needed. This is a wonderful group and I am so grateful for all their attentiveness and care.
The compassionate care my sister and our family received was beyond anything we could have ask for. The staff was there for all of us and they always made us feel they had all the time in the world for us. I will always hold a special place in my heart for them.
