Caris Healthcare
Caris Healthcare is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Murfreesboro, Tennessee and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

Recently had a wonderful experience with Caris. They were available at a moment's notice to begin care for my father when he was discharged from the hospital on a late Friday afternoon. The nursing staff were kind and compassionate. The communication with the Caris staff was better than expected. We needed their services for less than a week, so I didn't get to interact with many other members of their care team. I appreciate the attentiveness to his comfort in his final hours. I highly recommend Caris if you or your loved one is in need of an exceptional hospice team.
I cannot say enough about the care and compassion we’ve received from CARIS Healthcare. Jessica, the social worker, and Kim, the nurse, have been such a blessing to me and my family during my mother’s journey with Alzheimer’s. From the very beginning, they have been incredibly flexible with my schedule and so understanding of the challenges I’m facing as a caregiver. They always meet me with patience, kindness, and empathy, making an extremely difficult time feel a little lighter. Their willingness to truly listen and to work with me has been a light in such a dark season of life. Jessica has been a true support system—helping me navigate emotions and resources with so much grace. Kim’s care and professionalism as a nurse have given me peace of mind that my mother is in the best hands possible. Together, they have shown not only their skill but also their hearts, and for that I am deeply grateful. Thank you, Jessica and Kim, for going above and beyond in the way you care. CARIS is truly fortunate to have such remarkable people on their team. You’ve made a lasting difference in our lives.
Our family recently lost my husband's father. Caris was his hospice provider . They were wonderful. Kind, and caring. And constantly updating the family if anything had changed or just to check in with us.. I had a different provider when my Mom passed. I wish I had know about Caris. There was no comparison how much better Caris was.
Traci West leads the grief class that I attend. I have been going since February. She has helped me tremendously during my journey after losing my wife in November. Traci has helped me to understand and learn through this process of losing someone. Sometimes I don't always understand where an exercise is going but she brings it home to me. I usually go away with a lesson learned. The best experience I had was a vision board. It was so helpful in my healing. I always look forward to class. She also started the Meet & Eat group which is beneficial for our social life. I could go on and on but the bottom line is to copy and paste Traci.
We had Caris with my mother for some weeks while she was in NHC. They were able to do the things that the nursing home didn’t do. They spent the extra time bathing her and doing her hair that the nursing home didn’t do. At the end they managed her pain medication and showed the highest levels of compassion to her and our family. I can not say enough about Carol and the whole team that attended to mom. Don’t wait too long to use them !
