About

Avow Hospice

Welcome to Avow Avow is a Collier County, Florida-based nonprofit healthcare organization that provides hospice care, non-hospice palliative care, and grief and loss support. We serve people of all ages, from infants to the most senior of citizens. Avow has deep roots in Collier County. In fact, we were established here in 1983 by volunteers and community members as the county’s first hospice. Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest hospices in the US. We also pioneered non-hospice palliative care in Collier County, offering services beginning in 2003. Throughout our history and growth, we have kept our focus squarely on our nonprofit mission to serve.

As a nurse with ICU, ER and hospice experience, I am very particular about the care for my family. Avow home hospice has been phenomenal and my saviors at the end of my Dad’s life. They kept my dad extremely comfortable and allowed for more of a peaceful passing than I could have imagined. I have witnessed a lot of death in my life, and this was by far one of the most peaceful. They also cared for him and my mom like they were his or her own family! Every single person from our amazing nurse Christian, to our aides, Phil and Kim, to the entire Crisis Care team. I can’t thank this whole team enough! You are all where you belong in hospice and you have made a tough part of life so much easier! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

My dear mother passed on at Avow on July 17. The care we received was exceptional, especially from the RN on duty that night, Althea. The environment is serene, peaceful and comfortable. The respect shown to my mother and me is very much appreciated. I also received follow up calls from Lindsay at Avow, offering bereavement services. We are fortunate to have a hospice like Avow in Naples.

Truly a collection of the kindest, most patient, most thorough, most resourceful, most capable people we could have hoped for in my father’s last months. A real comfort and relief at the end after such disappointing care from his memory facility. Our gratitude goes out to everyone who cared for us at Avow.

I'll give it a 2 star only because Michael the Chaplin was awesome and very kind. My husband was in this hospice for a short time and was discharged to home hospice with not much notice and time to prepare. The transition was poorly managed. They sent him home with no instructions for his bag and no medication for pain at 5pm in the afternoon. He is stage 4. I had to switch him to another company for home care and Avow sent no records so this made the transition very difficult and my husband went without pain medication from 2:30 in the afternoon until 1am the next day. I definitely do not recommend and unfortunately they missed out on a nice donation in the end. It was my impression that the goal of hospice is to make the patient comfortable so they can transition to death peacefully. This place definitely missed the mark.

My Mom is here now and getting the best of care. Everything is spotless and everyone is accommodating. I am so glad I chose Avow for her. She means everything to me and she deserves only the best.
