Mt Hood Hospice, Inc
Mt Hood Hospice, Inc is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Sandy, Oregon and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
Medicare covers hospice services with no cost to patients for most services, including medications for symptom control, medical equipment, and 24-hour access to care. For more information about hospice benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare hospice providers at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality data and provider information are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

Mt hood hospice is patient centered and meets the needs of the patient and family members. Best Hospice 👌 I've seen in years. Once again very patient centered! I love the entire staff! Thank you for all you do! ❤️
Mt. Hood Hospice was amazing with both my Dad and my Father-in-Law. They were caring, gracious and so respectful to my entire family during that difficult time. They treated my dad and my father-in-law like they were part of their family. I am beyond grateful!
I have had multiple family members on Mt. Hood Hospice services. They are always caring, quick to respond, helpful both with the patient and family. They have RN's on 24/7 to answer questions and to walk with families through all parts of the dying process. They have Social Workers, a Chaplain, Home Health Aides and Volunteers to help the patient and family needs as holistic approach. They offer excellent bereavement services. I cannot say enough about Mt. Hood Hospice!
So grateful for the care that my loved one received at Mt Hood Hospice. The entire team is full of kind and compassionate people. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for end of life care.
This company repeatedly tried to get me to give my father morphine despite him having a reaction to it that made him itch so badly he rubbed himself raw. He expressed a desire to try to get stronger and to take supplements to help him do so. His Dr told him that if he could get stronger, there is a treatment she felt would give him 5 good quality years . This team discouraged him from pursuing this and rather just prepare for his death. They repeatedly discouraged him taking anything but morphine and discouraged his desire to exercise. My father asked me to take him off hospice, so I did as he requested . He is still alive . The last day they were contracted to provide care, my father had an emergency, so his private pay caregiver called them . They refused to come even though they were still contracted to provide care. I am my father's only durable power of attorney as the hospice team knew . Despite this legal fact, they tried to go behind my father and me and discussed his care and tried to alter it via my brother . My father chose to fill this position for him as he knew I will honor his wishes. It is his life and his right to have his wishes honored. For hospice to violate their legal hippa requires and try to alter his care in a way he did not want, causing issues in the family and stress for him was and is unexcepable.
