We first reached out to Lakeview to two separate people, We were given the generic boiler plate response. I will look into it. And then their choice was to send a psychologist to talk to the patient, which makes absolutely no sense since the issues were safety issues regarding their staff we are finding the reviews on here to be quite accurate. We highly recommend finding a different place for your loved ones. If I could give less than one star as others have said, I would also. Her health is declining in the three days being there which speaks volumes to the care she’s receiving her health was excelling where she was at, and as soon as she was transferred there on Friday, her health has been going down.
Being a staff member in any nursing type facility is a hard job and I completely respect people who do it and do it correctly who can do it and be kind if you can’t do it correctly if you can’t do it and be kind then you’re in the wrong job go get a different job How anyone could see Someone who suffered and not be kind I don’t understand. how they cannot put themselves in someone else’s shoes and imagine what if it was them what if their body because of what they’ve been through can’t do the stuff it used to do? How would they feel if they were being dependent on somebody for everything and somebody who’s trying to work to get better so they’re not dependent on somebody else 1st Staff did not use the waist belt 2nd did not lower the bed. 3rd Held the walker out of the patients reach 4th got upset at patient when patient asked not to be rushed Please train staff to use kind calm words and use proper safety techniques This is just one of many Incident I was surprised that: Staff did not use the waist belt Staff did not lower the bed. Staff Held the walker out of the patients reach Staff person rushed patient and when patient got upset at being rushed in the bathroom and asked her to leave her alone. The staff person got upset with my sister. Patient ask staff person not to rush her, got frustrated by being rushed Which is acceptable to ask somebody not to rush you to give you more time then the worker got frustrated with the patient said many things one including “calm down!” Which of course led to more frustration. that’s when I put a stop to the back and forth escalation And said OK. None of this is called for. you can be respectful, You can be kind Staff said “all I did was tell her to calm down” I said “nowhere in the history of the world has telling someone to calm down ever calm anybody down.” “The patient is frustrated at her situation . She’s frustrated because her body won’t do what it used to do , if you lower the bed, if you bring in the walker to her, if you give her time to do what she needs to do in her own way.. The staff person started to deny, I said “I have it on video” Staff left the room leaving the patient alone in the bathroom which is against the rules and not safe or appropriate and nobody else came in to take her place they told us somebody always has to be present with her and there was no staff present. there’s no call button in the bathroom It’s not hard to be respectful of people who are in extraordinarily hard situations This was only her second day I brought cupcakes for the staff. We have been friendly to the staff. Nobody yelled. Nobody got mad. I explained if she could stay calm the patient could stay calm . I have complete respect for the job if it’s done right lower the bed. Use the waist belt, bring the walker in closer, give the patient time, if the patient gets frustrated consider where that frustration is coming from and be kind and understanding. Sadly, this was not how she was treated hopefully going forward I’ll be able to change this review but so far I would not recommend lakeview There were some other complaints. I’ve heard that I can’t speak to because I wasn’t there. We’ve been worried about her through this tragedy and proud of her progress she’s been making before coming here and we were looking at this is the next step to get her to where she had to be to get home But instead, her health is declining now we have to worry about how she’s being treated and she’s being set back no family should have to worry about that on top of everything They should feel that their loved one is in the right spot to get better Instead of feeling sorry for every person in that facility. We are sad patients need to have staff in the bathroom because there’s not a call button in the bathroom Or a shower there’s one shower for the floor. She doesn’t have a shower in the bathroom it’s not fair to have to have someone in the bathroom with you rushing you and yelling at you
I thought this place was closed. I can't believe some of the cna's did not take their jobs responsibly. The Dr. were not doing well either. How is it a hospital. The Rehab is way subpar.
This place is great:) Food, personal cares, nursing, Psychiatry, environmental, physical and occupational therapy, are all excellent. They all made me feel welcome and cared for. I would highly recommend. The doctors and support staff are excellent as well. Thank you everyone for being a bright spot in my life. Amen, to the chaplain, your words of comfort and compassion will be a guiding light for my eternity. Thank you. You all deserve employee of the month, and a big bonus or raise:)
I had a stroke end of April today I am getting ready to leave 1month later. Great experience nurses aides. Therapists were all wonderful
