Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
* Ensures the safety of the consumer, and in the case of an emergency report immediately to the supervisor
*Assist the consumer with daily living skills, which includes the following: Meal preparation, Shopping, Eating, Toilet Needs, Community Interfacing, Socialization Skills, Bathing/Grooming/Dressing/Personal/Oral Hygiene assistance, Light Housekeeping and assistance with mobility/Transferring.
*Ensure the consumer the opportunity to live a full and productive life in their homes and community.
*Ensure that consumer's rights and choices are not infringed upon.
*Help the consumer to meet their goals as outlined in their individual Plan of Care.
*Submit paper work and documentation timely upon due dates.
*Respect the confidentiality of the consumer.
*Follow the Agency Policies and Procedures.
*Advocate for the consumer.
*Attend all in-service trainings as scheduled.
*Ensure good communication between consumer, staff and families
*Perform other task as assigned.
