Licensed Vocational Nurse – Private Duty Nursing Location: Haslet, TX 76052 Schedule: 63 hours per week Agency: Good Samaritan Home Health Agency Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality Private Duty Nursing (PDN) care to a medically fragile client in Haslet, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering one-on-one care in the home setting. Key Responsibilities Tracheostomy Care & Management -- Perform routine trach care, suctioning, and monitoring. -- Ensure airway safety, monitor for respiratory distress, and maintain emergency equipment readiness. Medication Administration -- Accurately administer prescribed medications per physician’s orders. -- Document all medication administration and observe for side effects or changes in condition. Wound Care -- Provide wound assessments, dressing changes, and infection-prevention measures. -- Monitor healing progress and report any concerns to the supervising RN or physician. Patient Monitoring & Assessments -- Perform ongoing assessments of vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health. -- Document all care provided and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records. Care Coordination -- Communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the care team, parents/guardians, and agency staff. -- Follow the established Plan of Care and participate in updates as needed. Family & Client Support -- Educate and support the family on safe care techniques when appropriate. -- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care at all times. Requirements -- Current Texas LVN license in good standing. -- Current CPR (BLS) certification. -- Experience with trach care, wound care, and medication administration required. -- Prior PDN or home health experience preferred. -- Ability to work a consistent 63-hour weekly schedule. -- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a home environment.
