Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
Interim HealthCare is hiring and we have a variety of different shifts available!! 4,6,8 and 12 hour shifts!! Interim HealthCare is looking for quality Caregivers to work with our wonderful clients in the Contra Costa County as well as the Oakland/ Richmond area! Our Home Care Aide job responsibilities are: •Performs personal care activities that are assisting the patient with daily living which include: •Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin and hair) •Ambulation (when our patient gets out of bed and engaging in light movements such as sitting, standing, or walking as soon as possible after an operation) •Eating •Dressing •Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions. •Performs patient-specific activities •Transportation to appointments •Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms. Caregiver Requirements: Caregiving Experience preferred Registered with the Home Care Aide Registry (HCA #) Current Driver's License, Automobile Insurance and Reliable Transportation Pass Criminal Background and Livescan Checks Provide 2 Professional References Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
