I don't even want to put a star. This place is not at all a good place. my Father-in-law is there and he is treated like crap. He isn't able to walk or get up to wheelchair to do anything at this point. Which means he potties in the bed and need to be changed. We have multiple instances that he lets them know he needs to be changed and hrs past and he still hasn't. We try calling up there to let them know and they just ignore our call. We actively trying to get him out and closer. We are currently 1 hr away and that's was closest to get him there.
I've got a family friend, that is here. It is an OK place. It could use more help, and some renovations. It's an older place, and needs some work done, on the buildings. Smells kinda iffy, when you walk in, but it's because of the older residents, having to depend on helpers, to help them to the restroom, get showers, change their adult diapers, food smells, and a nursing home smell, all combined. I know they do the best they can, with the help they have got. It would be nice to have away, to be able to get in touch, with the residents sometimes. The ladies, or men, at the Nurses station, sometimes are just sitting there, when I've been to visit before, and not answering the phone. I have seen them, lots of times standing around talking. I feel like, there could be better ways, when the Nurses, or people that take the residents clothes, or bed covers, blankets, to be laundered, could make sure they bring the items, back to the resident, they belong too. I have written the residents name, on all of their items, and items still, don't get returned. What's the purpose of writing their name on every sock, shirt, blanket, etc.., if they want be returned, to the right resident?? MANAGERS, SUPERVISORS, BOSSES, OR WHOEVER , IS IN CHARGE, THIS IS AN ISSUE, THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!! LOTS OF WHITE SOCKS, LOUNGE PANTS, BLANKETS, BEDROOM SHOES, ETC.. HAVE BEEN LOST. ALL OF THESE ITEMS, ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, HAVING TO GET REPLACED, ALMOST EVERY WEEK OR SO.
My visit was with Hospice of the Updtste; visited Pt doing well, appreciate your care.
My sister has been at Condor for 4 days. I live over 500 miles from her. She had a lot of trouble getting her meds, showering and eating. I made a call to the person in charge and we had a good conversation and it has been a complete turn around for my sister. I am going to put in a good word for this person with the company. A little kindness really does go a long way. So if you have a problem with Condor give them a call before you write a bad review. I deleted my first review and am glad I did. For the folks at Condor, "thank you for listening to me and for all your hard work".
Today was my first visit and I was really surprised to meet so many wonderful young ladies that are working at condor. Upon checking in I was told that my family member was in one area and while walking to that area a young lady asked me if I needed help and I told her who I was looking for just so happens she know my family member and took me to the area that he had been transferred to. All the staff was very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed for my family member. All my concerns were answered. Now I have to wait and see if things are as said…first day great… will follow up later…
