I recently spent three weeks at University Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a knee surgery, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've had in a medical facility. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me like family, always kind, patient, and genuinely caring. My physical therapist tailored exercises to my pace, and the nurses made sure I was comfortable and pain-free. They even remembered small details about me, which made the whole stay feel very personal. The meals were nutritious and served with a smile, which really lifted my spirits. The facility was clean and welcoming, with plenty of natural light that made recovery feel less clinical. Thanks to their support, I left feeling stronger and more confident every day. I’m truly grateful to the whole team for making such a difficult time so much easier.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. This facility and staff should be ashamed of themselves. My mom was transferred here for Physical Therapy after being in the hospital for 3 months and needing help to walk again. She was at this facility for about 9 days and had about 60 minutes of PT the entire time she was there (15 minutes during the week), which is absolutely ridiculous. My mom sat in a diaper that she had urinated in at least 3 times before she was changed. I was there one time when they changed her and there was still poop remnants on her from when she had used the bathroom prior. 2 nurses dropped my mom to her knees when they were moving her from the wheel chair to her bed. She ended up getting really sick, throwing up, fever and UTI. She was not medically being taken care of and my mom finally asked to go to the hospital. I removed all her stuff and she will never return. Please DO NOT send your loved one to this facility.
University Nursing and Rehab Facility provides exceptional nursing and rehabilitation services. The staff is professional, compassionate, and dedicated to each patient's recovery and well-being. The facility is clean, well-organized, and creates a warm, supportive environment. Physical therapy is top-notch, and patients receive individualized attention throughout their stay. Highly recommended for anyone in need of short- or long-term care.
If I could give zero stars I would. My father in law is there for long term rehab. The place should be bulldozed. The staff there are the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. You can never get a clear answer and when you do they are experts at giving you the runaround. The conditions that these poor patients have to go though are atrocious!!! The smell as you walk down the halls will put you to your knees. He’s been there for a few weeks now and I don’t believe his sheets have even been changed. His garbage was filled to the top. Please please please, if a loved one is going to be coming to this facility do everything in your power to get that changed. We are in the process of trying to get him out.
My meals are simple but satisfying. And the activity organizers run small group games which really break up the day with smiles.
