I have been a resident since July of this year. The treatment given has been phenomenal. My wounds are given intensive treatment! The staff is friendly. One can usually develop a pleasant rapport with any of them. Food service is fair, with a varied menu that has changed from summer to winter menu. I am anxious to see the offerings! A great place to visit and see if your loved one would be cared for in a respectable manner!
The facility has amazing staff. Great entertainment, such as had a live band last week open to the public which was sponsored by local businesses that wanted to make the nursing home great! The staff does everything in their best ability to make all residents comfortable and happy in their healing.
Great staff and most of the staff seem to genuinely care about your well being. I was a resident there from December of 2021 to the end of January of 2022. Definitely a different experience than when I was at Dunlap Specialty care in October 2021 where I was overdosed on morphine and died and had to be life lighted to Iowa City hospital. The crazy thing is is that they're both ran by the same company but they're definitely night and day. Thank you Atlantic Specialty Care for getting me better and back home with my family! I will truly be forever grateful!
The staff at Atlantic Specialty Care are top notch! They are all very caring & attentive & treat the residents like family. I truly appreciated the TLC my family received when living there!
I stayed here for three weeks, participating in their "Rehab to Home" program after a surgery on my back and neck. The staff and residents all made me feel very welcome, starting with Mel who cheerfully went out of her way to prepare my room with gifts in my favorite color. I was given a peaceful room with a sunny view, and I enjoyed watching the first snowfall through my window. I never really felt bored either; Missy keeps you very busy with activities. There are also lots of opportunities to socialize. The kitchen serves many of my favorite meals. Morgan gives the best baths. I also appreciated that the Physical Therapy Team was so willing to listen to me and adapt to my unique needs. Although my time recovering from surgery has not been long, I feel I have made many friends at ASC. I am so grateful that God brought me to Atlantic Specialty Care!!! :)
