I don’t know how anyone can rate this place any stars at all forget about 5!!! My family member was placed there at the direction of his wife after leaving Beaufort Memorial Hospital. As soon as you enter the facility the stench hits your nose. The floors are covered in filth. The bathroom in my family member’s room is always disgusting. There is urine and feces all over the place. The staff is very inattentive. There was a patient in another room that kept calling and yelling saying he needed to be turned and they ignored him. I had to go to the desk to tell them he needed help. The girl seemed annoyed and they took their time giving him the assistance that he need. My family member wants to be removed from that facility but his wife is holding him hostage there because she’s waiting for him to die and I do believe if he stays there much longer that is what will happen. Red alert!!!! Stay far away from this place. Don’t take your loved ones there, they won’t survive!!
(Resort at Beaufort )Nursing home whistleblower, let me start with the rooms. D-wing rooms 38 and 35 have fleas in them. They have a pest problem in the roof and walls with rodents and squirrels. The nonverbal residents who can’t speak at all are placed in these rooms. On C wing, they have fire ants that need to be addressed. A wing roomA 19 needs to be expected to.the room by the nurses station by the leaning closet, the first room on the left have a toilet that’s not working with a cardboard on top of it and defecation in the toilet bowl and the plumbing system is always overflowing backing up in the building, let’s raise awareness and inspire change to ensure our loved ones receive the care and dignity they deserve, let’s work together to create a better tomorrow for all. I put my Mother in the Resorts of Beaufort on June 3, 2024. She had been in assisted living for 2 years and only wanted to go home. Never joining in on activities at other home, but is in all the activites at this facility. She likes the people and the meals are pretty good she says. I will never look back at this move for her. She is satisfied where she is living now.
My 88 year old mother arrived at Resorts September 27, 2023 after she shattered her femur in a silly accident She is unable to care for herself now and this is her new forever home. It’s been a difficult situation but the Administrator Sandra, Social Services Administrator Whit, Head Nurse Veronica & PT Admin Drew and many many more have been my lifeline The people that clean her and feed her are lovely. I really struggled with where my mom should go. I dealt with some pretty cold hearted people/facilities in the Beaufort County area and finally decided on the facility that actively wanted to care for her and us as a family and I haven’t regretted it one bit On top of that the new remodel is coming along nicely and I recommend The Resorts of Beaufort without hesitation
My mom just passed away while at this facility, I was with her from the day she arrived until the day she transitioned which was a period of approximately 2 months and I can honestly say the entire experience was a complete nightmare and disappointment. If you truly want your loved one to thrive and survive - KEEP THEM FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. No idea how the medical community allows places like this to operate with a license - I had to constantly ask the nurses to change my mom as I would be there for an entire day and no one would enter the room, if they are displaying this lack of care in my presence what is happening when I leave. My boiling point came when while under their care and supervision they somehow allowed my mother to fall - I immediately summoned an in-person meeting with staff heads and demanded answers of what happened and GOT NOTHING from them other than that we will investigate. Since my moms passing I have not received a phone call from any of the facility heads offering condolences or anything. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
