Went to call my mother and they had told me that they can’t put me through and try to call her cell phone. Once I told them her phone is not working they put me on hold then hung up on me. Called back again and started talking to them and told them who I wanted to talk to and they hung up on me. Called back again and they sent me too a answer machine.
Let's be fair. There are wonderful and caring people that have taken care of my loved one. There are workers that don't care also. Sad but not the only medical facility I've seen this in. Fortunately we are able to bring him home. I have read reviews and I do know that some are true. I do know that maintenance is always trying to fix problems in an old building. I do know that rehabilitation is not what this place should be putting on the Web. Rehabilitation is very limited due to not having enough staff to provide adequate therapy. Outsourced. Nurses station need to answer phones or have the phone lines checked. Some of these employees work their butts off. CNA'S mostly. Facility needs to order more liquids to distribute to floors for the weekends. We bought essentials to keep in his room due to this. Honestly I was there 7 days a week with our loved one. You need to advocate for your loved one. I see what some reviews are saying and yes they are correct but voice your concerns. It might not change but at least they know your advocating for your loved one. This atmosphere is very hard to work in and understanding is compassion. What our loved ones took from here was listening to the patients, fist bumps when they got excited, talking to them and most importantly some do not know why they are there due to brain injury, demtia or Alzheimer's etc. Compassion for patients . For profit facilities, unfortunately, will not change much.
This place is a hoke will take your loved o es mony rate traps people not cleenig and is not a present place. We went to go see my step father after he went and place is as old as time itself and Grose. Random residents were trying to walk in the room and were not wached. Didn't need to sign in. You could have had a murderer in there and you would not know it. It's was bad. That's wasn't the worst part before we left my step-dad was crying because it he was scaid and staff was abusive to others roommates and when we were living we got trapped in elevator and had to be rescued by fire department
This place is a dump- close family friend got transferred to this facility and I went to visit recently. Place is something you would see in a 3rd world country. Totally outdated, dirty, mice running across the floor, heat is as hot as Haiti and overbearing. The quality of food delivered to the patients is worse than school lunch food. Looked absolutely disgusting. I think animal shelters are better than this place. This place should be shut down as it’s inhumane to have humans live like this.
Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable about my adult son's needs. He has been there for 1.5 years and is doing great. The staff really does care about him and manages his care in an excellent manner. They provide daily activities and frequent outings for him. He is always clean and well taken care of. The staff are very knowledgeable about his condition. I highly recommend Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation to anyone!
