Earlier this week my brother received a friendly greeting and was promptly shown to his room as staff helped him settle in to where he will be living for a while to receive rehab and skilled long term nursing care. This past week has been great as he’s met with staff to discuss long-term goals, has had PT sessions and receiving good care from the RN’s and assistants, been enjoying his meals in the dining room, while also meeting other folks who, like him, is there to receive care at Pruitt Health’s “The Oaks”. Staff have been a great encouragement and start on his road to recovery.

My dad stayed here for just a short term. The staff and nurses were very good to him and his family. The facility was kept very clean. I just want to say thank you for taking good care of him while he was there. He passed away on September 12th, 2025 at 12:30a.m. at the facility and the nurse called me and told me that he went in peace. I just want to recognize the nurse that did that, her name is Shirley. Thanks for all you guys did to help my dad.

I am a medical provider with over 20 years experience in geriatrics and was faced with having to find a skilled facility for my mother in law. We visited several facilities in a 50 mile radius including ones that I used to work with. In my experience, only one facility came close to this one but it is now only for rehab. This place has been the best environment for her. She was miserable at an assisted living facility and agitated most of the time. Here at The Oaks, she is calm and actually happier than I have ever known her to be. And safe. It is an absolute wonderful place for us to call her now home. I appreciate every person there taking care of her as it became impossible for us to on our own. A huge added benefit, they helped us qualify for Medicaid. An enormous help. Our most gracious gratitude. Ann and Duane Holden

My Mother-in-Law was in this facility from March 2025-May 2025. The Staff (especially Nurse Jason) was amazing and learned her preferences and helped her feel comfortable and at home. The Administrator, Jason Belue, was helpful and kind and greeted us warmly every time we visited the facility (which was multiple times per week). The only reason my Mother-in-Law was moved out of this facility was location...the majority of her visitors were traveling an hour each way to see her and that was becoming an issue due to the frequency of our visits. I highly recommend The Oaks of Brevard to anyone looking for a friendly and caring place for their loved one.

The staff at the Oaks treated our mom and our family with compassion, personal attention, and a caring attitude that was greatly appreciated during a challenging time of life - which goes without saying when an elderly family member is dealing with rehab, dementia, falls, multiple fractures and other healthcare challenges. A few specific shout outs to Sandy H, who went above and beyond to help and support our very out-of-town family on countless fronts; Dr Blair Holl, who answered out questions and took our input and feedback with both respect and thoughtful consideration; the PTs, OTs and speech therapists and team of nurses, and many of the aides, who attended to mom (who was not always the easiest patient due to her condition) during her stay. Mom even was blessed with a wonderful and caring roommate! Not everything can go 100% exactly the way you think it should or want it to, but the collective effort put forth by the staff (who admit they are struggling to hire more of) sure came close and did right by this family and our mother. A huge thanks to them all!
