I came to Ebony Lakes for therapy after not walking for 8 months and a total knee replacement. From the first moment I arrived here everyone, no matter what position they held, asks me is there anything you need. The diligence is unwavering and never falls short of " what can we do to help you". The therapy has made the difference of being able to walk again with never a moment of despair. Meals are balanced and thoughful. The sincerity of all the staff is truly life changing in one's difficult times.
Urgent Warning for Families Seeking Care: Do not place your loved ones in this facility. Based on a direct experience with my grandmother during her rehabilitation stay, the standard of care is unacceptably low and dangerous. Key issues observed: * Unsafe Environment: The lighting throughout the facility is extremely poor. Residents were frequently seen wandering the halls unsupervised, appearing confused and lost. * Unresponsive Staff: The nurse call system was constantly alarming, indicating that patient needs were not being met in a timely manner. * Patient Neglect: We witnessed a clear case of patient neglect involving a nurse named Arturo. My grandmother was recovering from surgery with doctor's orders to avoid her hip sutures and to be handled gently. We communicated this to Arturo before he changed her. * Direct Harm and Unprofessionalism: He ignored both the medical orders and our direct pleas, handling my grandmother so roughly that she was in extreme pain. When we asked him to stop, his exact response was, “Don’t tell me how to do my job.” He then left her completely uncovered in the bed. This incident of neglect happened while a family member was present in the room. We cannot imagine the level of care provided when residents are alone and unable to advocate for themselves. Given that this staff member is also in charge of bathing other elderly residents, we strongly advise you to avoid this facility to ensure the safety of your family.
I took a television to place in my loved ones room went back following weekend found television had disappeared following weekend asked staff about it and no one had a clue

When I was told I was going to a nursing home for a couple of days I didn’t like the idea but I decided to go. The experience I had at Ebony Lake was really good I am happy I decided to go, even for a couple of days. Everyone that work at the facility was really nice and had really good experience. I really want to thank nurse Diana D. best nurse i’ve ever had. She kept me on my toes on watching my diet, my sugar levels and even pushed me on choosing on healthier choices, thank you. P.S. she deserves a raise! :)
