I’ve had several friends placed here and every time I visit it’s been a good experience. The staff are always very helpful and attentive. They always have activities going on. The campus is serene and always well maintained. This is a good place for your loved ones.

Attentive, caring staff. Arts and crafts and easy to navigate. Close to Edinboro, which has very good restraunts to get take out for your loved one. Different rooms to visit in, and outside areas too. I'm pleased my spouse gets the care she needs here, one less thing to worry about.

My parent thought she would get tje care and rest coming here after hop surgery. Let me start with they came and picked my parent up at the hospital 2 hours earlier then she was to leave. They brought her into the snf and sat her in a chair not big enough for her. Then threw a sheet over her legs and left her. She was crying upon my arrival 2 hours later, saying she couldn’t sit in the chair she was hurting and asked for a pain pill over an hour ago and was still waiting. Her bed had no sheets or pillow on it. after speaking to the head nurse on that weekend i said mom mom needs a bed and asked for pain meds an1.5 ago? She said we know. Later i found out she still had to order her meds. So why was she picked up early??? They should had prepared for her arrival. The nurse was very rude. She ask me to step out of the room and told my parent that it was Pa law to strip them down, my parent felt her dignity and privacy was violated. She only given 3 pt sessions the whole week and 1 the therapist talked about their weekend plans. For 2 days her nurse button was broken, no-one came to help her..when she needed help to the bathroom. Another time she was left in the bathroom after waiting for someone to come help her up she managed to get off the toilet and back to a chair which should not have been done after surgery. Then they had the nerve to write in there notes my parent was doing things without assistance and her way… i wonder why!! When you’re left with no help. She went to use her bathroom and the staff left the roommates poopie towels in the sink.. so she couldn’t even wash up. She laid around all day for a 15 min therapy session. Once we decided to get he out the social worker said she would put in a referral to our choice of home care. And a wheelchair I waited 4 days then I called her again and she said ill look into and call you back that was 3 days ago… my parents Dr. said 2 aspirin a day the were giving her one and when I sent something to them, they said well that’s what we’re supposed to do. We also seen a resident being transported in a wheelchair and the man who works there said no one should be using that wheelchair because it was not safe.. We had thought that if in the future if our parents needed to go to a facility. We would take them here, but after the experience we had, we wouldn’t even let our worst enemy go here. DONT put a LOVED One in this place here… there is more bit ill stop there.

Highly unprofessional! My father was supposed to stay there for respite while my mother goes on vacation next week. We confirmed this with the administrator (did not catch her name) and Social Worker, Laura well in advance, and the request was already approved through his insurance. I called Edinboro Manor at the beginning of the week to confirm the facility had the authorization through his insurance but never got a callback, so I called again today and was told by Laura that they may only be able to take him if he is on hospice and that they only have one open male bed. Laura stated she would call me back after speaking with the administrator. She called back a little later saying they no longer have an open bed. If I had not called and left her a message this morning, I would not have known this. My father would have shown up for his stay on Wednesday only to be turned away. My mother has been planning her trip for several months and now we are left scrambling to find another facility on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend, without so much as an apology! So, even if by some miracle we found another facility with an open bed, it likely will not get approved by his insurance on time! I would hate to see this type of situation happen to others and their loved ones who are in need of care. Beware!
