I cannot rave enough about this facility-amazing, very caring staff from the Administration, DON, SW, DC Planner, nursing staff to even the front desk. It's a small, homey place where everyone is very personable! Thank you NHC Franklin! へ Done

If I could give this place a LOWER rating, I would! -10 stars! Let me explain… my mother, 74 years old with Parkinson’s disease,, was at WMC being treated for a UTI and B12 deficiency. The hospital said that she needed to go to a “Skilled Nursing Facility” for PT / OT. After a week of waiting for an open bed, we we offered NHC Franklin. The “Medicare” rating was 4 stars with good reviews. Since she had been stuck in a hospital bed for a week already, we were eager to get her moved and the rehab started. She was transported by ambulance to the NHC Franklin facility on a Wednesday evening (around 5:30pm). I arrived at the facility before her. I was instantly sick to my stomach. The facility itself is VERY old. While waiting in the lobby, the smell alone would make you physically ill. I tried to move past that as it was dinner time and it was the smell of “cooked veggies” that filled the air. Once she arrived and we were taken to her room, things went down hill at a rapid pace! The room was a shared room. 2 beds with a privacy curtain between them. The condition of the unoccupied room was disgustingly. There was food on the floors, food splatters on the walls, overflowing trash, a wall a/c unit that was practically falling off the wall. The actual walls looked like cats had been scratching down them with missing paint, wallpaper and drywall. Once the paramedics move her from the stretcher to the bed, they were reluctant to “plug” her bed into the wall, as the electrical outlet was not bolted in place and was falling out of the wall. When the intake nurse came into the room, McKenzie, first expressed how important privacy is there. However the privacy nurse untainted was broken and would not close. She stated she would have it repaired right away. When she did her skin evaluation for intake, I asked her to please make sure they would use her medicated wipes to help with the UTI. She informed me they do NOT use any type of wipes there… only wash rags. However she would have the nurses use the wipes if we provided them. After we finished the intake paperwork, I pointed out the condition of the floors and walls with the food and overflowing trash. She again said it would be cleaned right away. Fast forward to the next day. She was unable to call for help due to being given a faulty call button. The staff made no effort to wash her face, brush her teeth, get her dressed, anything that was basic care. She asked multiple times to use the restroom and was dismissed. At one point while I was there with her, we pressed the call button for assistance. I could hear it ringing at the nurse station. I waited 10 mins for any type of response. When I stepped into the hallway I could see the staff at the desk ignoring the call buttons and just casually cutting up. When I asked a staff member for help, I was given eye rolls followed by “in a minute”. Needless to say I NEVER got the help. I managed to get her to the restroom and back on my own. At that point the nurse on call came into the room with a bed pan wrapped with a trash bag. She told my mom that is she needed to go to the bathroom she could use the bedpan on her own and the trash bag covering was there for easy cleaning and to allow her to use it multiple times. SERIOUSLY!?!?! Since it was Thursday, she should have received a bath by the day shift staff. That did NOT happen. The lack of attention and care continued the rest of the evening. The next morning (Friday), the privacy curtain was still broken, the floors were still dirty and disgusting, the food splatter was still on the walls. I cleaned the floors and wall myself! She was scheduled to have PT /OT that morning. PT / OT is a joke and non existent! There is so much more I could say about this place, however Google review has a cap on the review length. Long story short… Only go there if you are looking to die by assisted suicide! They will be responsible for your DEATH!

I was a patient at Nhc in Franklin Tennessee for about 4 to 5 years. It is a terrible place. It’s very terrible. I had a nightmare still about it. It has cockroaches in the rooms on the medical equipment. Majority of the Cna‘s are terrible. They’re very negligent. They don’t care about you When they was changing me. I had a cockroach in my brief and a cockroach in my breathing machine I had to call corporate so many times on this facility that they know my name by heart if anybody think about sending their loved ones to this place do not do it. It’s so bad I got sick every 2 to 3 weeks from their food because they don’t wash their dishes correctly or the silverware I threw up so many times I was 5 to 10 pounds every month. I called Covid about five times since I’ve been in the facility expert on my lungs three times Please do not go there.

Truly don't understand how this NHC Fair ground Street Franklin has positive reviews. We have now been to this facility twice. First time with my parent they left with bed sores and horrible diabetic sore on their foot. One week my parent had gone FIVE days without any type of bath. On occasion they were skipped for meals as well. There was also times they were served horrible looking sandwiches for lunch and dinner. My parent was in there for pt and could not get out of bed without assistance. On weekends there was no pt and nurses only helped them out of bed for bathroom. There was also the day they one hour after asking to be taken to the bathroom. Second stay: no different after two days in I came to visit and they had missed one meal that day and for two days have not helped them out of bed to sit a chair and even suggested if they needed to go to bathroom quickly just use the diaper. Your loved will leave this place worse than when arrived. Only positive most of the staff are kind but very lazy
