If I could offer zero stars I would. My friend was in the facility for 15 long days. Every step was a fight. Her medicine was not distributed in a timely manner, per Dr's orders. Nurses were rude when questioned. On multiple occasions the call light was pushed and after 30 minutes I would finally have to go down to the nurse's station for help. Bedsores were left unattended to. She had a fall, and we were told they have no idea how long she had been there. After speaking with DON things would improve briefly then quality of care would drop. I assume if my friend was being neglected, it is a common occurrence to all the residents. I spend a lot of time at the facility and the lack of compassion showed to her and her family is disgusting. This place is a nightmare! Your loved one will not receive the care they need and deserve from this facility.

My experiences with Medicalodges Frontenac dates back almost 11 years (when the facility was known as Sunset Manor). My Mother was a resident at the facility for almost 11 years and my Dad was a resident for almost 4 years. The care they received from the entire staff was absolutely outstanding! The care and compassion for the residents and their families was all encompassing. The administrative team listened to family needs, ensuring those needs were met to ensure the best possible care for their residents, the nursing staff that ministered to my Mom and Dad were exemplary and professional as well as compassionate. The CNAs and med aides were always caring and solicitous, ensuring that the best care was provided to the residents they cared for. The dietitians, the maintenance personnel, the housekeeping staff all treated everyone with respect, striving to do their very best to ensure needs were met for residents and family members. After visiting my Mom and Dad, I always felt confident that the staff taking care of them would love them and take care of them like I would if I would have been able to. If one needs to select a nursing facility for their loved ones, I would unequivocally recommend Medicalodges of Frontenac.

I would not put anyone in this nursing home. The Director of Nursing does not know what she is doing. Most of the aids are decent and the nurses are decent. The admin could be better but not that bad.

My Mama was a resident at Medicalodges Frontenac back in 2013. She was only there for a few months for physical therapy and rehabilitation. The staff there was fantastic. The facility was clean (most of the time). It smelled like urine a lot. Is that normal? Anyways, Mama's team did an awesome job and helped her tremendously. Mama did pass away in 2014 at the age of 79. I miss you, Mama. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of Mama. Keep up the great work. May God bless you always! Love peace and Light Bily Curless 😇
