I was happy when I first heard my mother entered her previous memory care unit. She'd been in a decline for years, and I'd worried about her at home. Then I came out to visit her, and she called me her sister. I've known that day was coming, but to have it arrive after her being in the MCU for six months? Nothing could have prepared me for that. I live over 900 miles away, so I can't visit her as often as I'd like. The second time I visited, she called be by my name, and we spent the entire visit with her asking me the same three questions every ten minutes, including when she could go home. She didn't speak much, and she couldn't answer any of my questions. Her eyes looked lifeless, and she didn't look as happy as I would like her be. Then I started looking for another memory care unit, and one of them recommended Onalisa to help me with her Medicaid application. So I moved her into the Ivy. My mother has been engaging with me and other residents a lot more than I ever saw at her previous facility. I've come to visit her and she's actually participating in some activity instead of wheeling herself around the halls in aimless circles. She hasn't once called me her sister's name since moving into the Ivy, or asked me when she can get out. The staff has been very helpful, always calling me when she gets sick or needs more clothes because she gained weight. I am very happy that I moved my mother to The Ivy and would recommend this facility with their staff to anyone who needs a nice same place with constant interaction for their loved ones. Trena L
The team of people that work at IVY have been super supportive and encouraging for my elderly dad who needed a place to stay while he rehabilitated from a surgery. Everyone was extremely transparent and the communication was great in relaying updated information that would happen as my dad recovered. Being out of state at the time, I relied upon his nurses and physical therapists for day by day updates on his recovery. They were happy to relate all his info to me about my concerns and worked with my dad step by step every part of the way. His social worker and nurses worked around the day to ensure I was informed about new developments throughout his care. When there were hiccups with his Medicare, they provided a team of people to help guide me through the process at every point! It is for this reason that I highly recommend Ivy@Greatfalls for any other elderly people that might need further support in their life. Thank you ladies for stepping up and working with me to provide a healthy and supportive recovery for my dad
The facility monitors for Covid/other sickness. Quickly/easily found my husband's uncle from 2 staff members, who were easily accessible and approachable. Had a concern, which a staff member wrote on a board for a doctor to review.
I just have to say I am very much impressed with this new company. The Ivy has worked so hard to change the appearance of this building inside and out. I feel that the company as well as its employees are working so hard to provide the best cares and home like to feel each of their residents. Therapy department, can I just say you ROCK! I can't thank Ivy enough. I would defiantly use IVY of Great Falls in the future for my families needs.
