After accepting my husband for short-term rehab in which they confirmed several times by phone that they had a room for him, including the night before and the day of our arrival, they refused to take him in when we arrived at their facility, stating that he was a high fall risk and they "already had too many just like him." We drove to their facility during a snow storm, only to be turned away without notice! As a result of their action, we have been struggling to find a rehab facility for much needed rehab. We are appalled that they could treat anyone that way, and wonder if their rating is a result of "picking and choosing" who they want.
Well, I waited for 3 months or so to post this just to make sure I was right in the first place. I could not have asked for any better place for my dad. At first I was a little apprehensive about age of building, location, etc.... my brother and I wanted our dad somewhere to have the care he needed. We all want what is best for our loved ones. Well I say all but in dad's several stays at rehab nursing homes I have seen some that never even get a visitor. Sad but anyway....back to Clay County Care Center. I am so thankful he is here. There is too many names to mention from kitchen staff to the nurses, director, and Doctor in charge. All of them are exceptional in what their specialty is. All of the nurses are so very good at updating me and keeping me posted. They are some talented people. I am so thankful. My dad has come a long way and I firmly believe without this staff he would not be here today! I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart! PS ...dad thinks a lot of y'all too and that's a mouthful to say the least! I strongly recommend you give them a chance....you will not be disappointed in their caring, sharing, skilled talents.
For the most part I don't have complaints... certain nurses and staff took great care of my grandmother... someone stole her wedding ring and when I told the manager he laughed

Was greeted by Administrator on the Phone let him know there was a group of use Comeing from Florida to visit my mother.He went out of his way for use..We was Greeted with Great Staff. I am pleased of the Care they are giving my Mother.As she is there for Rehab.
