If you truly love your loved ones, don't place them here, don't allow any hospital to refer you to this place either this place should be out of business and shut down. For starters, this facility has 32 beds and they consider themselves to be fully staffed, with only 2 nurses on hand and maybe 2 PCA's they barely have a functioning ice machine. And all they have is one in the facility where ice is dumped into a cooler and brought to each wing for residents to receive cold beverages. You can bring your loved one. Anything that they recommend for you to eat. But them offering it to them as a whole other story. My brother's surgical site was ripped open on 2 separate occasions with no explanation. Our understanding as to how or why that could happen on their care if they were being gentle and careful within that region. The second opening, I was told that it was a new opening, and that it just randomly appeared. When, in reality, it was awesome, stitched up, and it was ripped open. Because I'm assuming the person that was bathing. My brother was too rough when my brother was transported to the hospital at my request. It was later found out that he was septic. Now, explain that to me, how does a person groseptic, if they're getting bathed twice a day every day? That makes absolute no sense. I would get calls from their physician telling me that they were up in arms because they didn't know what to do with my brother and that given his extent of cancer blah, blah blah, in other words, they were just looking for me to remove him when I requested help from the social worker. All I got was a list of possible resources that could assist me in, possibly, getting him transported back home. Never did the social worker ever Take it upon herself to help me. Make those calls The head charges also promised me that she was going to help me get a hospital bed for my brother as she knew of different places where they donated them for free, never got help with that either. The day that my brother was transported to the hospital. I never received a phone call when he never returned back to ask if he was okay or what was going on with him? Almost as if they knew that they messed up and dropped the ball in my brother's care, and they decided to just never reach back out. Housekeeping makes an appearance on the floor but rarely ever. Do you see them in the rooms, mopping or cleaning the floors? The floors are disgusting. My brother once spilled something on the floor and it stood there for literally over a week. One time, my niece went to go visit and a resident literally walked out the front door and was missing for an hour before anyone noticed and made it all the way home. Now, you tell me if that sounds like a place fit to take care of your loved ones.
I am Stanley Strempek’s daughter Debra and his HCP. I am also a nurse of 38 years. Dad has been at Renaissance Manor for 3 weeks post hip surgery. I appreciate the hard work the CNA’s do and how they take care of dad. Especially Danielle is my “go too” and deserves recognition as she is always helpful and courteous. The CNA’s are the best and always say hello to me. Deb the nurse is also caring and kind, very helpful. I believe a nurse named Angela I spoke with is also very knowledgeable and considerate to dad’s needs. Unfortunately, I have experienced one nurse that really doesn’t feel like she wants to even be there and has no interest in my dad. I hope she isn’t like that with the other patients. When I have called in to just check up on dad, her attitude was not appropriate in my opinion and I also approached her directly on the unit. Stephanie and Donna and are absolutely amazing and I thank them all for having dad’s interest best at heart. Karen, Tony and Linda are also humble and kind. Walter is “the man” and helped fix dads shade in his room and make sure there was bird feed in the bird feeder so dad could watch the birds outside his window. Brian in Dietary was also thoughtful to meeting dad’s dietary and nutritional needs. The activities lady is also kind and speaks to me often. I praise you all and thank you for your dedication, compassion and professionalism you present. Dad is in good hands. ❤️
For the most part I found it to have very caring people working here. Clean. No odors is a plus! Thank you to Nurses April, & Angela & the CNAS caring for my brother Donald Murphy rm 16. Jeanne Murphy Linscott
I found the facility although older to be very clean. The halls were clear and all patients seemed to be cared for. There was no bad odor. There were no patients screaming for help. The staff was court and very helpful.
