My Mom has been living at windmills nursing home for 5 years already She loves it there she feels very comfortable. The staff pretty much knows her very well. It doesn't smell like urine when you walk in it's always clean They feed and treat her well. We made the right decision when we chose windmills for her home. We also do her laundry clean her room change her bed sheets That's our choice. We want to make sure my mom is very comfortable and fells at home. Great job staff!
Very disappointed in this facility my mom was discharged from the hospital to this place for physical therapy to regain strength to walk ..withing those days that she was their not once had she recived her physical therapy to walk they had her throwing the ball around in a group and playing playdou like what does that have to do with walking..or even trying to make my mom walk...they were just always quick to lay her in the bed..an not to mention a nurse has hurt my moms ribs and knee from transferring her off the wheelchair to the bed im glad we checked my mom out got her to her dr and now we're waiting for results...check on ur people that are their not all people are bad ppl...but they think they can talk to ppl ugly..
I walked in here two days ago to visit a friend who was in rehabilitation. I was super impressed. No urine smell. No chemical scents. I took a pic of their beautiful Christmas tree. Also, my friend stated the fish her is excellent! If I needed long term care I would sign up here. Thank you for the best kept secret!
I was there for just a small amount of time to visit a resident. My first visit there and I was impressed. Clean, orderly. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. Security was good and masks required. Again, I was impressed with your facility. The only thing was that the resident I visited is exceedingly thin and frail therefore I’m sure hard to keep warm. I don’t know what bedding generally consists of, but she had one little throw that I’m sure she provided. In an effort to cover her more, I put her robe over her. There was a staff member present in the room and though nice enough, I was a bit dismayed at her lack of help in this area. Does the facility not provide any blankets at all? Thank you for your attention. Oh, I visited Gwen J. room 312. Thank you. Carla Terry
I stopped by Windmill Village Nursing and Rehab unannounced as I was in the area on Friday. For the past week, I had been helping a friend who is possibly seeking long-term care for her father in Lubbock. As a social worker, over the years, I have been in many of the nursing homes in Lubbock, but had not had the opportunity to visit Windmill Village. I was given a tour by the Marketing/Admission Department, Elsa. I was overjoyed because the facility and grounds were absolutely beautiful, clean and warmly decorated. When I was there it was lunch time, and the food looked and smelled delicious. The dining room was airy, open and inviting. The residents' rooms were spacious and had a private bathroom. The cleanliness of the facility was impeccable, and there was no chemical cleaning smell which is important to me. The activities described for residents sounded fun and engaging. When I left I thought if I ever needed long-term care this would be a place I personally would choose, and I definitely recommended it to my friend. Thank you, Windmill Village for being here in Lubbock and for providing a beautiful home and next season of life for people in need.
