My Sisterin law lived there for 6 years and enjoyed it very much. She was well taken care of in her last days and treated with dignity. Thank You very much!

This place is extremely unprofessional and disgraceful. None of the staff is on the same page with the progress or status of a patient. They use the excuse that they're short staffed for not having "time" to bathe the patients on a regular basis but they have at least 7 "nurses" having a conversation at the front desk while residents alarms are going off- and no it was NOT shift change. The employees act lazy, inexperienced, and are extremely rude. It's almost like they have a title and name tag on their work shirt for someone who is unqualified for the position and will hire just about anyone. My recommendation is to NOT put your loved one in this specific place.

Terrible place to put a loved one. My mother was moved here for rehabilitation from the hospital. After only one week of being here, my mother had a bed sore. I moved her promptly out on day 9 because the conditions were so bad there. Staff would leave her without a call light on the bed pan for over 40 minutes and frequently would leave her otherwise without any call light for hours. At the time she was just out of the hospital and was unable to do anything for herself and the only limb movement she had were her hands, which only slightly worked. If she asked them to brush her teeth or comb her hair, they would sometimes tell her they didn't have time so she would go for 2 days without basic hygiene like teeth brushing. They would not come when she needed to use the bathroom and instead told her to go in her diaper. She is only 64 years old and never wore depends before she went there. They are not only incredibly neglectful of residents, they are also verbally abusive to them. They would verbally berate and make my mother feel small for needing help with things. For instance, they would make statements to other staff that "they didn't like that woman" in front of my mother. Or they would say angrily, what do you want now? Or, you can do that yourself, you just don't want to, when asked for basic help. When I confronted them about their treatment of my mother, they tried to tell me that these things weren't happening. Then after they finished talking with me, they went to her and tried to gaslight her and told her she had better stop telling me. Even the staff who is administration, covers for the caregiving staff who is being abusive or neglectful to residents. I was able to get my mother out of there after only 9 days of being there but I worry what's happening to the residents who cannot speak up for themselves or have no one to tell. Also the facility is very very old and They did not keep the place up according to health codes. It is altogether an awful, neglectful place that needs to be shut down. I really do not know how they're still open. Please do not send your loved one here!!!!!

Do not let any of your loved ones stay here! UNLESS you plan on being there in the morning and at night to take care of their daily routines because they will not. They will let your person stay there in their room, alone, doing nothing all day except for the "peek in" visits every few hours for maybe a minute. They also left medications unattended in the client's room for any person to come in and take and then the nurse argued with me that I was wrong. I am trained medical professional so I know. 3 Oaks is just as bad if not worse! I used to get clients from them with bed sores so bad it would take a year to recover from them! They definitely do not deserve a National Quality award!

My mother was checked into the Atrium, - just there for therapy for a month or so, the receiving staff was great. The next day when I went to visit and see how things were going, my mother told me that she was woken up by a staff member shoving food in her mouth so she could take her morning medication, (she was literally sleeping when this happened!) SHE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE FOOD WITH HER MEDICATION! Clearly this staff member couldn't read! Otherwise he would have known the individual patient guidelines of giving patients their specific medication! I reported this issue to two higher ups, all 3 of us spoke with my mother, they adjusted the time of when she is to get her medication, which will solve one problem, but it doesn't solve the problem of the blatant disregard of this employee, which the two that I spoke with didn't really seem to care that this kind of behavior was happening!!
