STAY AWAY if you can. While most of the staff seem to be pleasant. They appear to be way understaffed or just don't have an urgency to perform their tasks. Management seems more concerned with packing people into the rooms (2-3 per room) and covering for themselves than actually caring for the residents. According to one of the management team, it is perfectly normal for a 30-45 min response time after pressing the call button, seems pretty ridiculous. You'll also notice a lot of the 5 star reviews are from employees, which artificiality increases their Google review rating. Would never recommend for any of my loved ones.
Medilodge of Monroe is one of the best nursing homes I’ve visited in Monroe. If there’s a concern brought to their attention, they’re good at resolving it. During some of my visits here, I’ve seen them be screamed at by family members and during/afterwards they’re still very professional & assists the family members with their concerns. The workers here truly do care for the well-being of the residents and their families.
My husband stayed at Medilodge for 5 days. The staff were friendly and helpful, which is the only good thing I can say about the place. The first thing I noticed was that there were only two sanitizer pumps on the wall in the hallway, when there should've been one outside every room, like hospitals. Definitely no washing in/washing out in this place. The food was disgusting and had zero nutritional value. When I opened the window there was moss growing on the inside window sill. They also had dead bugs in the ceiling light panel. I wouldn't recommend this place based on the food, which I'm sure they aren't eating and its cleanliness.
My dad spent 25 days in this facility recovering from a broken hip. He lost 5 lbs because the food was nasty. He was not giving any chose but what he was giving. He was told that one thing was served everyday. His clothing was stolen when he was taken home for an outing. His roommate was always hot and had the window open and my dad was always cold. The Social worker never had the answers to my parents questions as to when he could go home. She said it was up to the therapists and never received reports from them on his progress. My brother would ask questions and also did not receive answers. Missing cloths , bad food, poor response to questions. Would not recommend using this facility. Will call Medicare and file complaint with them.
I was there today visiting my grandma and I have to say that I was beyond impressed by the care . The cleanliness was impeccable. The staff was so tender and caring with all patients I saw today, beautifully landscaped with gorgeous views of the outside. I cannot express how lovely my visit with her was today. I would recommend this place over and over again for senior care . 5 stars hands down care at this facility. 10/10
