Really enjoyed bringing our kids to trick or treat. The residents all seemed so joyful. The staff all participated and were enjoying themselves! We will be making this a Halloween tradition!
My mother and I started our journey with a visit in late February, early March, to explore the opportunities with your Assisted Living. Because of the experience during the tour, we were considering a move by May. Unfortunately, my mother's health took a turn and we ended up admitting to The Ambassador nursing home in April and stayed until her passing on July 9, 2024. We were admitted to the nursing area on April 22, 2024, and our experience from that day forward with the staff at The Ambassador was wonderful. The nurses, Wendy, Alexis, Kelly, Nikki, Alicia, Michelle, Angie, Ruth, and others were attentive not only to my mother's needs but also to mine. We both felt heard and like we were important. The Med-Tech's and Aides, Paulette, Melinda, Denise, Jordan, Dominic, Kylie, Nellie, Tonya, and all of the others, made sure that my mother was eating (when she still could), bathed, and comfortable in her bed/chair. It was not only the personal care that was important---it was the personality that each of these people brought to the table. When my mother was able, they interacted and joked with her, making her feel safe. Their ability to build a rapport with my mother allowed me to feel comfortable leaving her from time to time--taking some time for myself. Near the end, all of the staff wrapped around my mother and me---provided support by answering questions, allowing us to cry, giving hugs, and just being present--in the moment. These are powerful and important skills to have--and reinforces why The Ambassador has such a positive reputation. Your staff are truly angels on earth. I would be remiss if I did not include Annie, Tammy, Becki, and Teri on my gratitude list. These four ladies made themselves available each and every time I came into their offices with questions, concerns, or if I just wanted to chat (and sometimes cry). I never felt more welcomed by an administrative staff as I have with these ladies at The Ambassador. While my mother is no longer with us, I know that she was grateful for the care she received. She did tell me that she knew that she was being taken care of. I am forever grateful for all of you and hope that you will not mind if I come visit from time to time. You all have a special place in my heart.
Place is a joke. Employees are making errors and they don't seem to care. Seeing how they handle some of the people that live there... I wouldn't trust them
Both my grandma and mother-in-law have stayed at Ambassador Health of Nebraska City. We were so impressed with the staff - how they cared for both of them under really trying circumstances. Kudos to them!!
The first moment I walked into the door I knew this was the best place to be.30 years later no regrets still the best place to be.
