I would give it a zero. A family member went there for physical therapy and ended up with two UTIs and a very deep bed sore! I got him out of there and straight to the hospital for treatment. All of this in a one hundred day span, and when you send them with their clothing good luck seeing them actually wear them. They are not good at doing their job. I think the facility should be closed down. I would definitely look elsewhere for help for a family member.
My mom is in Willowbrook right now and shares what is happening daily. She has chosen to eat her meals in her room because she doesn't want to sit in a wheelchair for over an hour while she waits for assistance back to her room. She says that the food is horrible and that the staff has been inattentive to her needs on a constant basis. She turns on her call light and waits for long periods of time to get help to use the toilet. She is there because she needs 24 hr surveillance for rehab according to her doctor. Otherwise she would go home and get better care, even without a professional staff. Not a caring environment for loved ones.
Extremely rude and unprofessional nurses—I don’t understand how they maintain their licenses given the way they treat their patients. We made simple requests and were met with screaming. For example, when we asked our assigned nurse to leave a note for the doctor about our loved one pocketing her food and drinks, she responded by cursing at us. If you have the misfortune of being assigned Angel V as your or your loved one’s occupational therapist, I highly recommend requesting someone else. Angel was shockingly rude to our dying family member, yelling at her and displaying aggressive behavior. She was also unprofessional and disrespectful toward our family. This behavior is unacceptable in this line of work.
Willowbrook has been such a great experience for my mother and our family. The staff enjoy their jobs and really care for their resident’s. It definitely has not been easy, going through the physical decline of my mothers health and I have had many sleepless nights in the past few months. Finally, I can have some peace of mind knowing she is being cared for. Thank you to ALL of the staff at Willowbrook for offering so much kindness to my mother and family!
The nursing staff is wonderful but your admin staff is awful. Jill, the social worker is the most uncaring person I have ever met. She does not care about patients, she only cares about money. Told my dads 100 days is up today, and if we didn’t pick him up they would charge us $9,000 a month because he is “too well” for your services. Now they are telling me I can not because your doctor didn’t ok to release him. Even talked to the Administrator and still didn’t anywhere. This place needs to get their act together.
