I found most of the nurses were not receptive to my concerns. My mom had worsening lab results and symptoms that were ignored or minimized. There were wait times of 1.5 to 2 hours for her to be assisted to the restroom. She would literally be writhing in pain. And several times she waited hours for pain medication even though it was well within the time frame that she could have it. The rooms are not air conditioned and can get very hot. The elevated temperature actually caused my mom to have shortness of breath. My mom was there for a short time but it was a horrible experience for her.

My father had viral pneumonia, and spent several days in the hospital. He was very debilitated, and needed rehab before going on to his assisted living. Literally nowhere would take him because he was confused, until Bethany Home stepped in. They not only weren't afraid of his temporary confusion, they were willing to try to rehabilitate him. Since he had been conversational just days before, I was determined for him to have a chance. Their Social Worker and Nursing Director worked very hard to get my father into their rehab program, and set him up with an aggressive rehab plan that literally began to make him better and stronger within DAYS rather than the weeks everywhere else was promising. It was incredible the progress he made with them, and I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for their efforts and their rehab program!

Bethany Home in Sioux Falls has been a wonderful experience for my mother-in-law and family during what would have been a very difficult situation. From the moment we arrived at the newly renovated facility the staff was so welcoming, nurses outlined what to expect and then carried through with the highest level of patient care. Sparkling clean, the best meals, happy and loving interactions with patients and to their families by the entire staff and the hard working PT staff performed nothing less than a miraculous healing body transformation back to health. It's a lesson to us all what positivity, hard work and love can do! Thank you Bethany Home Sioux Falls!

Recently after having surgery and 10 days in the local hospital, I decided to go to a rehab center instead of going home. I needed nursing care and P.T> and O.T. and knew my wife couldn't problem the level of care I needed. I had heard of Bethany but had never even visited the facility. I applied for and was accepted into their Rehab Unit. I could barely walk with a walker, had no appetite and needed around the clock care. WAS I IN FOR A SURPRISE!! What a tremendous facility in Sioux Falls, SD I received the best medical care possible. Had a private room with bath and ate my meals in a dining room designed just rehab patients. Several days after I got there I started physical therapy and occupational therapy and had outstanding staff who challenged me to set goals and reach them. Since I had to have treatments through a port in my arm several times a day, the staff did an excellent job in my treatments and administering my medications. I can't enough good about Bethany. I would highly recommend the facility and think it is probably and #1 facility in Sioux Falls for Rehab care. I plan to have my hip replaced in the near future and know I will be going to Bethany once again. Outstanding therapy and nursing staff, fantastic food each day and excellent care.
