There is nothing that I can possibly say that would change my mind or my family‘s mind about the way this place operates. My mother treatment was horrendous! Although her caregivers were generally nice their policies just suck. Very little recuperating therapy. No call buttons if you need help you have to walk to the nurse desk and ask for it. After five days in mother had a bump and a bruise on her forehead because of the lack of night nursing, they accidentally tipped over a nightstand onto my mother and could not justify her Bruising! I have to stress that lying in a bed, staring at a blank wall is no way to recuperate or to get stronger and her will to live after being in that room was lost. I was with her every day. The only thing I didn’t do was sleep overnight with her. The food is horrendous and let me stress there is no Therapy for strength and recovery. Period do not take your loved ones here, please. Let me also add that there is no ventilation in the rooms no open windows No circulating air noisy hall so you can’t leave the door open. If you are in the room, the stench is unbearable.

Looks like this place might be turning a corner in the right direction. Staff was friendly, building was clean, air quality better than average, and the individual I was checking on was pleased with his care so far. I have high hopes for this LTC unit as we desperately need a place for our deserving loved ones to rehabilitate.

The Golden Sonora Home care center is much nice than some others I’ve been to. My father in law is needing help right now and is very happy there. I do think they might put some fans in the halls to circulate the air from the bathrooms. Today is was quite overwhelming!!

Update 12/20/24 - Unfortunately my Dad has memory issues and is not able to just pick up his phone and call me in his own. I left notes all around his side of the room with my phone number on it asking the Aides to just call me daily to just check in and make sure he is not agro from confusion. Make sure he knows everything is ok and we are all safe. But the ONLY call I've got is from Admin stating that his current insurance is not covering him. After all the calls and emails and book of paperwork, along with coordinating with Bristol hospice, I was informed of this 3 weeks after signing and moving him in. Why?

The facility is well lit, clean, and organized. The staff are all super friendly, helpful and informative about anything you might have questions about. The facility is in a beautiful area, with good parking and access for those in wheelchairs or needing to be transported by van or ambulance. I'd highly recommend this place for any loved one.
