My mom had the pleasure of being a resident for a short time at Goldwater. She had a wonderful experience from meeting new friends and learning how to live again. Before she went to the facility she was not motivated to do anything, she stayed to herself never wanted to go or be around anyone. She went to Goldwater for the excellent rehab facility because she had a fall. Therapy is truly top notch. However, she was worried because she was being put into a “nursing home” but after she got there she understood it was much more, it was a family away from home. As her daughter I truly appreciate that she was welcomed and loved and taken care of wonderfully. The staff, from the exceptional nurses to the CNA’s to the kitchen staff were always so helpful and caring. The staff wasn’t staff to her they were her kids. The staff treated her as if they were taking care of their mother or grandmother. Thank you Goldwater for the excellence you put forth for your residents whether long term or short term.

I like it for my mother in law. The place has heart and soul and a unique character that makes it work for all of them. When my mother in law had the chance to go to another assisted living space she chose to stay. The caregivers and nurses banter and interact as if they are all one big family. It has good karma there. Also unheard of in this day and age but....they CARE. If we lead with that theb things are always better...ALWAYS.

I do have to say that seeing the residents here happy makes my day. I also love that our Therapy Department and Nursing team following through with helping out short term residents make it back home in the community safely. There has been so much updating to the facility as well thanks to our Maintenance Department, Dietary Director, and other team members. They say it takes a village and I'm so proud of my village at Goldwater Care Spring Valley.

Everyone has been so supportive and kind. When I arrived with cancer I couldn’t even hold my own phone. They helped me get stronger. Now I’m walking on my own and working on getting home

This, by far, is the best longterm care and rehab facility I've ever worked for in my 20+ years in longterm care. I love the staff and the residents! Love and compassion in a small-town setting is what we are all about!
