I just returned home after spending the last 5-weeks at Grace Barker Health for short-term post-op rehabilitation. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, caring, accessible and attentive to my medical needs. They were in constant communication with me and my family; providing updates on my care, milestones and goals. The physical and occupational therapists were skilled, engaging and extremely encouraging which helped me stay motivated and on track. The facility was immaculate, the food was good and the environment was very pleasant. The Administrator was always visible in the hallways, engaging with the residence and staff. The experience was much nicer than I could have ever imagined. It truly takes a village! God bless and thank you all again!
My spouses great grandmother is here and she loves it. The staff have become her friends and she is enjoying living here. It is close for most family to visit and the family who still owns and operates the facility does a great job. Highly recommend if you are looking for rehab or ltc in warren, RI area.
In April 2021, I had to make the tough decision to place my Mom in a nursing home for her safety from falls. Going on a recommendation from my friend, Grace Barker became her home for the last years of her life. Choosing Grace Barker was a decision that I will never regret. She spent the last years of her life in a loving homelike environment. From the nurses, cnas and med techs, I always knew that she was being well cared for. The dedication of the staff is outstanding, The CNA’s cared for her with such love. When she was so sick last winter, one of the CNA’s came in from maternity leave to see her and bought her an outfit. You are not going to get that dedication from staff at a corporate owned facility. Another CNA came in during my Mom’s last days to visit her and another resident that was also in her last days and bought them both plants. That truly love for the residents that become part of their lives. On the evening Staff, Tina gave her such great care and love. There are others involved in her care to many to name who cared so lovingly for her in her last days. There are not enough words to thank everyone who touched my mothers life at Grace Barker and made her final days comfortable and peaceful. Social Services was always so responsive to my concerns and made sure my Mom always had a compatible roommate. All of the nurses were also so responsive to my concerns and always listened to me My Mom’s wellbeing was always their main concern. Thank you for the love and care you gave my Mom. She was never just another resident but part of the Grace Barker Family. I highly recommend this facility for your loved one’s care. Nancy Silva Sent from my iPad
My 93 year old Aunt went to Grace Barker after hip surgery. I took her out of Lifecare in Attleboro because of poor treatment (they nearly killed her.) She went to Wingate in Norton, where they wanted to get rid of her (admittedly, she was a handful) so we ended up at Grace Barker. What an amazing place! They took my aunt when other facilities said they could no longer help her. They helped her with P/T, they had her see a geriatric psychiatrist and stabilized her meds. It was-by far-the most compassionate facility we ever dealt with. They never had a problem or issue at Grace Barker. When she was discharged they helped us with durable goods that we'd need. Grace Barker is still family owned, not corporate, and it shows. Auntie Charlotte did not have much time left, the last year of her life was made better because of the care she received at Grace Baker.
Wonderful compassionate local ownership with deep community roots who care. Clean, compassionate staff.
