Nurse Brenda and Charity have the worst customer service. My family member has had her call light on for over 35 minutes. I was on the phone with my family member when the nurse had came into her room. Absolutely horrid and disturbing the way this nurse was talking to my daughter. There is NO EXCUSE for the way these nurses are treating her, and the way they treated us her family members when we call concerned about her pain. They gave her medication as needed the past four days, Then suddenly it's not as needed anymore And they tried saying it was never as needed. So either they changed her medication due to Retaliation, or Someone has been giving her medication without reading her charts and disputing unauthorized medication. We have tried reaching out to the higher ups and carsyn has not made progress with holding his staff accountable for neglecting patient care. If you care about your family members well-being, do not admit them into this facility
If you love your loved ones then DO NOT put them in here. If you dont care they sit in a wheelchair all day then this is the place to take them. Soiled diapers or sitting in crappie diapers is not caring for them at all. This was by far no help for my grandma while being in the rehab for 24 days. We were told she could walk and that is a absolute lie. She cant stand, walk or anything. We have now removed her and brought her home where we can have in home care for her.
I'm going to be completely transparent. I have been in a lot of different nursing homes, and honestly there's always situations or problems because no facility is perfect. The thing that sets this facility aside from others is that they have an amazing CEO named Carson that instead of working behind the curtain he personally will handle situations or problems himself, and will keep at it until the solution is found in a timely manner. He gave my family his phone number so they can keep in touch through text or through voice calls, because he cares about their peace of mind. Shout out to Sarah she was my favorite nurse. All the CNA's are great, and when it came time to leave they made sure I was set up with what I needed on the outside so here's a huge Thank YOU to all the staff really grateful for the help I received.
Since my mom was admitted to this facility, we've encountered nothing but problems. There's a complete lack of compassion and communication, and the behavior from some of the nurses has been nothing short of appalling. Call lights have gone unanswered for over 30 minutes, which is inexcusable. Nurses like Brenda and Charity seem to have no place in the nursing profession with their disgraceful conduct. Charity's treatment of my mother – particularly after she was caught administering unauthorized medication – is utterly unacceptable. This was due to her failure to even check my mother's charts! It seems that Carsyn isn't taking responsibility for the actions of his staff. When I approached him about witnessing my mother being belittled, instead of addressing my concerns, he dismissed me with a "don't assume" remark. If you care about getting quality care for your loved ones, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. (For the record, I have phone call recordings of these nurses being hostile over the phone.)
Our family member had dementia. Care of Cascadia was compassionate in the care she received from all who were employed there. They were positive in their interactions with her, even when she was having a less-than-stellar day. That gave me peace of mind, knowing she was in good hands while under their care.
