I've been here for two years and have seen vast improvement. The staff has worked with me to go back to college to help me start anew and build a sustainable life. If your willing to try they will go out of their way for your development(at least in my experience). I could not have achieved as much without their help.

This facility is the worst quality of life for residents that I have ever seen. No air conditioning in the summer, and water pools up in all of the hallways making the place highly unsafe. There is no therapy services for the people who need it the most and for the few people who ever stand a chance of life outside this facility there is no way out. There are no job services available to those who desire to work. Human beings are treated like animals. Their human rights stripped from them the moment they walk in the door. The staff treats the residents like they are below them. REMINDER: the staff is supposed to work FOR the care of the residents, not treat them like children, not talk down to them, not make them wait in long lines and line up like first graders. Their (one)transportation vehicle breaks down regularly. The residents are often times very dirty and no one assists or makes them shower or clean their clothes. The ONLY psychiatrist who works there, shows up only two days out of each month. There are no personal goals groups, and there is no "getting better and getting out". Once you are in there, expect to die there

I was a resident there for a year and half. They do not feed you enough food, the bedsheets are stains with holes in them when they do your laundry clothes are missing and you put a report in that your clothes are missing but the clothes are never recovered. There was talk about the people who were doing laundry were taking the missing clothes and selling them. The residents are not taken care of medically I seen it happened many times while I was there. It is the worst nursing home. They take your whole disability money and give you $30.00 a month. It is a money making business. I am so glad to be out of there. I did report this nursing home many times for being in violation.

My relative has been at this facility for several years. Generally he has been treated well. In the past couple of years we have seen vast improvement in the handling of laundry, meals. They have a fun annual Christmas party for residents and family members. It was cancelled one year then brought back. There’s a lovely woman who comes in and gifts all residents with toiletries, snacks even dollar bills. Never experienced bad smells, pooling water in hallways, lack of A/C. Problem employees were dealt with . My relative is safe, has friends.

1 star cuz some of the staff are very kind. And you can’t do zero stars. But this place is trash. Patients require doctors’s appointments, but whoever is in charge of that doesn’t even make them and then a week later the patient is in the hospital again instead. Another friend, a patient here, just had DOCTOR’S orders to have her foot wrapped but the nurse refused to do it. This patient is waiting on a wisdom tooth appointment that never gets scheduled and the teeth are causing her pain but they don’t do anything. All people deserve to be treated and cared for as well as possible and with dignity but this place does none of that. I could go on, and may add more later, but all I’ll say is avoid living here if you can. The front desk people are usually very helpful, but the facility doesn’t save information for family and friends, so every time you want to pick up a patient you give them your info all over again. It’s a shame that this place is not run better.
