Days 1-20 are fully covered by Medicare, days 21-100 require a daily coinsurance payment. Many residents also use Medicaid, private insurance, or pay privately for long-term stays.

Questions to Ask: When visiting a nursing home, ask about: staff-to-resident ratios and RN coverage around the clock, how they handle medical emergencies, activities and therapy programs, how they communicate with families, their approach to falls prevention, and policies for managing resident complaints.

Love this place. Had a great Thanksgiving dinner with mom and dad and the family. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

This is the most confusing place to find your way around!! I had a grocery delivery & I stopped & asked 3 different men, maintenence works, where it was & I was given 3 different directions, to 3 different areas of this place ?! LOL I just went inside & found a guy delivering food to rooms & he was finally able to point me in the right direction. Definitely not a place I would live or choose to visit unless I had to!

My grandmother entered into The gables at rolling meadows on Hospice after a fall. It was traumatic due to a broken hip and a diagnosis of vascular Dementia. One evening after I had just left, I got called that there was an incident with my 91 year old, 90 pound grandmother. When I arrived back, my grandmother had barricaded her self against the door because she thought she was being robbed by the nurse that was in the room with her. Dementia is a horrible disease, once we got her calmed down, with in a few hrs I was given a notice that she had 5 days to leave. They could not care for her anymore AND in the care facility, I had to now provide 24/7 care for her. I had to sit with her from 6am till 6 pm and I hired care team to stay in the night on top of the $5500 I already paid for their services! That came from the management! One incident and she’s gone! The reason I did give this facility 2 stars is BECAUSE of the nurses and aids that took care of my grandmother and saw the pain I was going through and took care of me too! Dusty, Amie, Doris, Makayla, Tina, Missy and all the other ladies that always asked me if I was ok , you all will forever be in my heart! I would give these people 5stars!
